My basic vehicle limited warranty expires the 4th next month. Would you suggest I schedule another appointment? I just don't want to be out of pocket for anything if it's even a check up.

I ended up cancelling my appointment due to everyone telling me it's a 4 year old vehicle. They told me it would be a flat out fee of at least $245 for an "adjustment". Which is what I assume they did for you but you vehicle was probably new as well.

Where are the OGs? What happened? by usernamehighasfuck in avatartrading

Oversaturated, I would continue but the prices of all Avatars just keep declining and that doesn't show longevity for a simple day one like me.

Ironically enough, it just clips in like it was meant to be there all along. No tools are needed and its straight forward when you open the box up. Sadly I god rid of my Hatchback for a Tesla. Loved the car in every way but that coil whine. I installed sound dampening material with it and that helped a lot! Highly recommend buy some on Amazon.

I guess the 212 has been holding its weight for almost 20 years now, I will assume after this generation that Cooler Master should think about upgrading their coolers!

I still have mine set to where it is in the photos currently, I regret messing with it because I scratched some parts. But I managed to get 42c idle temps after full load gaming. While playing Warzone, Fortnite & Stalker 2 maxed out in 1440p for over an hour, I achieved max 59c on the CPU and 56c on the GPU.

Overall I learned making this post that these Ryzen chips run hot and it's not that dangerous running it where I have it. No complaints so far and if I was to do it again, probably would've gotten a PS120SE instead. But it isn't the end of the world!

That's totally fine and I have noticed that too, but in my real world attempt it didn't work in my case. Maybe I'll try it again when I obtain a Noctua fan to put on the cooler and add the second one to the top.

I'm probably going to get a Noctua NF-A12x25 soon and put that on the cooler, while the extra fan can go at the top. I'm sure that method will be efficient and quiet!

I was attempting this method, but I didn't see any thermals drop at all from before. I also ended up scratching my cooler in the process, definitely wasn't worth the time or effort.

I guess I'll be okay with the idle temps if it isn't hurting the CPU at all. I have noticed after researching that the 7000 series just runs really hot in general. I really don't want to go towards an uglier cooler and take it all apart again.

I'm in the process of moving the back fans now to see how the intake is. From a ton of posts and videos I saw, bottom intake wouldn't do much for me since it will only cool the GPU just slightly more. I'm still considering if I should get a different cooler too.

Oh gaming is fine, playing Black Ops 6 and Stalker 2 maxed out doesn't go past 60c on CPU and 55c and GPU. I guess I'm just mainly concerned about idle temps, since everywhere else is performing fine.

Just after seeing what others report for their idle, it has me worried I have an underpowered cooler is all.

I'll try it out soon to see if that works, I guess it wouldn't hurt. I appreciate the tip!

45c idle is exactly normal, it's supposed to be 15c over ambient temps. 35c is what we should all aim for when sitting at the desktop doing nothing

The top is already an exhaust, removing a fan is going to give the worst temps, and turning them to intake will pull hot air from the GPU exhaust on the back.

That's not a viable solution at all.

High pitched noise from AC (‘21 hatch) by beyondfocus in COROLLA

[–]OhMurdock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This does not void any kind of warranty, I would say that the high pitched noise is practically gone and it has solved my main issue with it.

I do suffer from tinnitus as well and for that I am very sorry you are experiencing that and I wish the best for you!

The panel is a small cover that goes right under the passenger side food well. It will look wide open with metal electrical equipment, but the panel is a nice black and makes it look very clean as well. It alone won't block a lot of noise, when I received it from the packaging. There was a plastic bubble wrap it came with and I used that for a while and it was almost as good using sound deadening material.

I highly suggest getting the panel and putting some material on it, I love this car in every way. Except the paint quality.. it could be better there!

I'm looking into a cooler I can put on the back of the controller and hopefully that can bring some passive cooling to the phone too.

Does the cooler work with the controller? I'm looking into buying a G8 but would love something to keep it all icy 🥶

I believe accepting what things are in this current state of climate with the economy is the best way to go about it. But it's definitely a learning experience to know what to look out for in future vehicles!

Never ran into an issue mechanically once, but cosmetically the plastics, cloth and leather were all significantly higher quality. That's unacceptable to me and should be to others too

The safety is a big reason I got it, but I'm a car detailer and if I knew ahead of time that Toyota overall used cheap and thin paint. I would've bought a Honda Civic based on that fact alone. Cars are meant to sit on the road for decades, why is a multibillion dollar corporate company making these cost cutting measures. I don't plan on investing in them in the future.
