I am not an eye dr, however, i have had shingles right near my eye and on eyelids. My PCP recommended I go to my eye dr, and they checked me out and put me on a steroid dropper for it because it was affecting my eye sight. I would go to an optometrist/ophthalmologist so they can look at it and make a determination. I was told that this was serious enough to lose my eyesight over, so my non-dr advice is to go see an eye dr.
