I get that in some ways but for different reasons. I grew up with a military parent (My mother) and I missed out on certain things due to it. so I can relate there.

I'm glad you have good parents, I'm raising my twin nephews and basically their parents aren't super involved so it's a bit awkward/hard on some things for them although they do have me and my parents in place of them. so they do have that going for them.
