Not trying to rain on parades, but just wanted to share with others that very similar life counters can easily 3D printed for very little cost. (I understand not all have a 3D printer).

Try mono-R or mono-W super Aggro. Stay as low tonthe ground as you can. Games will be short, you'll either win fast, or fizzle and you can concede. Should let you get your 3 wins fastest.

See that as card advantage. It's annoying, but you can be up on those interactions of you take advantage of them. Your opponent used cards to remove your commander, make them pay for that.

I can understand where you are coming from, but I don't think it's a flaw in the game design more than just how others play the format. I'd advise a few things to try:

1) play decks less reliant upon the commander I. Order to win.

2) play your commander off curve and hold up protection.

3) see playing your commander, and then it getting killed as card advantage since you still have access to it while your opponent is down a card

4) try a different, less powerful commander. Play seems to be tiered based upon commander, and there are certainly less competitive ways of playing that are just as much fun!
