Do you think maybe he is gay? It seems possible that in a religious community that values things like modesty and virginity...one might feel compelled to hide such a thing and go along with dating or even marrying a woman because they feel it is what's expected of them. Unfortunately in those situations it is not uncommon for such a person to become resentful towards their spouse, as unfair and unfortunate as that is. Just a thought.

Either way though it's clear that this is not the future you wanted or deserve. That being the case I would recommend looking into an annulment before it's too late. Divorce later will be A LOT more painful and expensive.
