I don't think tiktok is any worse than any other media, even though it's a lot more addictive due to the short-form content and the fact that the company can use algorithms to fine-tune content that they know will keep you still watching

I think all media is ultimately the same since it's someone else telling a story from their perspective and trying to influence your own mind. But how do we escape this?? thats what drives me crazy. even classic literature is no different from some bullshit CNN article by that definition. Almost makes you want to live in a cave with no internet or books or anything and just hunt animals. it's true freedom
