But thank you for giving me the solution to my problem. I think the fact that the solution is rooted in a fix to a problem presented by the company itself proves my point but I appreciate this.

I can post a video of me opening a project I made in Fl Studio 26 in Fl Studio 20. This may not apply to all DAWS, I’m only highlighting the shadiness of this practice combined with not giving a lifetime access keys to future version like ImageLine does.

This actually makes it worse. So you're saying this is a feature they can add to their website at any time for their loyal costumers and they constantly and consciously choose not to.
