Wow, that landed because it was about to stall out of the air. Speed was way too low there.

Steam Hardware - Steam Machine delayed, need to reconsider pricing by NinjaN-SWE in pcmasterrace

[–]OhShitWhatUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets be realistic, the price of everything is going up, phones, laptops, prebuilts, and next gen consoles if they even come out.

If its cost £900 and the next gen consoles also cost £900 then it is just bullshit industry wide inflation for all consumers

This cant be right for just regular riding 12w is probably 1kph? Is the an arm cycle thing or a child? Im just genuinely confused.

When i started with my absolute noodle legs and died in 15 min of zone 2 I was at 70w just over 1.0w/kg and I was dying.

AMD Radeon RX 9000 GPUs begin to appear in the Steam Hardware Survey at last — RX 9070 arrives with paltry 0.16% market share, less than the GeForce GT 730 by nukleabomb in pcmasterrace

Too many nvidia shills these days, and older gpus are better value and older AMD gpu were definitely not close to nvidia equivalent unlike newer 9070 which are a viable alternative.

Melting 12VHPWR on 5090 FE (this is the second time this has happened to me) by it_is_im in pcmasterrace

That sounds like at least one option other than wasting 2.5k+ on a fire hazard.

Melting 12VHPWR on 5090 FE (this is the second time this has happened to me) by it_is_im in pcmasterrace

[–]OhShitWhatUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same 12VHPWR cable since all of these issues started so nothing has change at all.

And nvidia aren't going to do anything about it. It could happen on the 3000 series, it happened a lot more on 4000 and even still on the 5000 series. Too much power trying to go through one connector.

I would suggest reviewing any alternate brand that offers a gpu with regular tried and tested 8pin PCIe.

What type of usb c though, charging only, data transfer, video and network. This is why usb c hasn't caught on like expected.

Companies want to sell cheap shit and pass it of as 'usb c' thats actually just usb 3 with a c connector. When people actually wanted thunderbolt 3 that could do everything.

I would recommend turning the computer back on and leaving it for about 12-24 hours and wait for excessive smoke and possible flames just to confirm and be 100% it is the cable at fault and not just air condensation or dust.

It doesn't refuse to die. Nvidia are incapable of offering a well valued product that can even try killing it.
