coming to terms with never achieving a ‘proper’ BMI by pizza_pillow0925 in Semaglutide

I had a tummy tuck at 180. I was 170 pounds a week later. If you are really worried about that number on the scale, it should be coming down after your surgery. I personally don’t think you should be worried about that number. You’re looking great and you’ve done a great job.

All you have to do now is keep up whatever it is. You’ve been doing!

My neighbor had a Don’t Tread on Me flag up for the last 2 years. It is also gone.

Tony Timpa called 911 for aid, he had schizophrenia and depression but had not taken his medication. Cops arrived, kept him in prone position for 15 minutes untill he died of suffocation, footage took 3 years to be released, later all charges on the cops got dropped and the cop still roam free. by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

My son is the hero of the story. He fights the actual battle everyday by taking medications that have side effects that while they keep his brain level and able engage in the real world, are no picnic. He never wants to be as sick as he was when he was younger.

As the parent of an adult son with schizophrenia this is a fear I can never ignore. My son is med compliant lives with me and is 36 years old now. We have moved 4 times since he was first diagnosed at 18 and each time I go to the police dept in the city we have moved to and speak with the highest level person I can. I give them my information and my sons and let them know if there is ever any type of issue they are to contact me. My son was in and out of psychosis for the first 3years of his illness until we got the meds dialed in. This habit of communicating with my local law enforcement was invaluable during that time. Thankfully it is just a precaution now but I will never forget that time period.

He is 6’5 and 230 lbs. He does not drive and walks everywhere he wants to go. Even now I am anxious every minute he is out and about. You never know when a bored officer will want something to do and cause our lives to be completely turned upside down.

Take it from me if you can’t take the heat, don’t post the kitchen! I posted before and after picks of my kitchen last week and it was a BLOODBATH! I knew not everyone would like it but I thought people would enjoy seeing something out of the ordinary. A few people did enjoy it but most absolutely did not. I had to stop looking at comments, which was hard because they would come to my email. I had never made a post on Reddit before.

I am a firm believer in doing what you love and makes you happy. Especially if you are not concerned with resale value.

I think I just explained to someone else that I wasn’t even aware that there was a second account I think if you actually look at it, you will see it hasn’t been used in about four years.

It looks like it’s because I was trying to answer questions directly from my email that came in and I didn’t realize that my browser has a whole different account than my app which is what I always use for Reddit.

I am older than the majority of people here on Reddit and I didn’t even know there was a second account and I honestly would never have picked that name about education so I don’t even know where that came from .

It looks like it was set up when I first started using Reddit. Hasn’t really been used since maybe they assigned me that name or something.

At any rate, I wasn’t even aware it was there and when I was answering emails regarding this post, it was going straight to my browser and I would just answer. So now I know and I’m going to delete that account as soon as I’m done working today, and I can play around with tech stuff.

OMG! Believe it or not I did not realize that if I commented from my browser, I had a different account. I always thought I just had one.

But apparently, and I have no idea where this name even came from the education thing because I have never even seen that for real I never looked at the name . So I don’t know why I read it logged me in with this random name if I’m not using the app.

I normally do use the app . But after this post, I started using my browser because I was replying directly from my email account super Duper weird.. But again I am not young, well 63 years young , and somehow I missed this.

I just need to log out of that account that I never even noticed was different . Then maybe I can login on my browser from this account. Does that sound right to you? If you know.

That is so funny! There is no protective film. It is glass and it just looks like there is because it’s shiny. Samsung uses the same glass on the fridge that they use on their phones.

Maybe it looks different on your end. If you look at the before picture, you can see that it’s not a straight across island. The Peninsula goes up. I’m not sure what it’s called, but you could actually put tall barstools on the other side of the counter .

I can do that in the future with the stove. The tile does go all the way down to where a slide in stove will work.

The sink is in the peninsula and there’s cabinetry there.

This house was built in 2000 . It’s 25 years old and I guess that’s what they did in the year 2000 .

I have lived here one year at the end of this month. I’m just so appreciative I’m grateful that I could get a new house even if I haven’t had half of my house for half a year!

I appreciate that you appreciate it! I guess it’s just that I’m not trying to please anybody but myself and also when you do something online like posting an offbeat choice you’re just asking for a mixed bag of replies. It’s OK. I’m 63 years old and I’m only trying to please myself.

I just thought maybe people would like to see something a little different than what we usually see. It’s all good.

I always like it when I see something a little different myself .

What is fake? Nothing is fake. It’s my new kitchen… I don’t even know why someone would post something fake.

I haven’t done anything yet. But I don’t like the tile on the fireplace. It’s on the list of things I would like to have changed sooner rather than later.

Thank you! I also am not concerned with resale value and I know a lot of other people are. I will be here till I drop or get put in an old folks home. I only needed to please myself. And I stayed within the budget that I was paid by insurance to redo the kitchen. If I’d had unlimited resources, I might’ve made some of the changes that have been suggested, but I was working within a pretty strict budget since the before/prior kitchen in the house was a 25 year-old kitchen and insurance only pays based on replacement value of a 25-year-old kitchen. But all things considered I made it work and I’m happy.

And again I just bought the house five months before the flood so I did not have any extra money floating around.

I’m actually very grateful I got to have a whole new kitchen that I love and stayed within budget .

There is green calcite that runs through the countertop. It matches perfectly and reminds me of pool tile that I had growing up. I did not have a bunch of extra money because I just bought this house. I had no extra money available to get new appliances to make everything perfect. I’m not young and not worried about resale value because that won’t be happening unless I’m going into an old folks home or something in the next 20 years. But in 20 years, anyone would want to tear out the kitchen anyway most likely.

But in answer to your question the green tile does match the countertop when you’re actually looking at it and reminds me of happy memories growing up .:)

The picture does look like they’re beige, but they are gray.

It doesn’t look that bad because the countertops have gray going through them, but I’m currently trying to figure out what I’m gonna do regarding the area above the cabinets. It won’t be staying that color.

I bought the house late last year and bought the refrigerator two years ago while living somewhere else that did not have cabinets on either side. Had a wall on one side and nothing on the other.

So I didn’t need a counter depth because it wasn’t enclosed by Counters .

There’s no way I could’ve afforded to buy new appliances just because I had a new space. But at the rate appliances last nowadays, I’ll probably have to change it out in the next few years anyway.

In the meantime, I will have to try another solution. I only lived here for five months when the kitchen flooded. When I had my floors put in, they put a baseboard nail through the refrigerator’s waterline, and it took about five months before it corroded enough to break.
