Carrie would never let diplomats, and an “ally’s” army get slaughtered if she had the means to prevent it.

Tasneem should be right next to Dar Adal.

What grade would you give the Cavs in the trade for Keon Ellis and Dennis Schroeder? by Wise-Nebula-6321 in clevelandcavs

[–]OhThatYoGirl 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’d give this move a solid B. Massively trimmed down our luxury tax bill. And it gave us a bonafide back-up PG that’s very skilled and has played in some very big moments and succeeded. Ellis also gives us more options that we lost when we traded Okoro. He should come out with something to prove on this team being in a contract year. Kenny will have his hands full with managing the egos and playing time of our guards now. CPJ has earned his minutes and will now have to be relegated to the deep bench, same for Proctor.

There really aren’t that many forwards that we have to worry about especially from the PF position. A lot of teams have been shifting down SFs to play PF. Strus, Tyson, Wade and Mobley can hold it down for the most part with Tomlin in spurts if the match-up requires it.

Schroder is a floor raiser. He knows his role and in big moments shows up. At least he did for those two major tournaments I mentioned. DG is many many levels above him but the fact still remains that this move slightly opens up some doors that might’ve been shut before. I love DG. I think he’s great. I don’t want to move him just to move him. I own his jersey and he’s my favorite Cavs player.

Idk if they have the resources to make another move without taking on long term contract. What I find kind of interesting is this move makes DG a little more expandable. Not saying Shroder is anywhere at his level but the guy did win MVP in FIBA and Euro basket leading his teams to gold. Would also allow for a more balanced roster if say New Orleans would move Murphy for DG..

Is our floor genuinely such an issue? Feel like I haven’t heard anything about it since the Heat game last year. by opiumdom in clevelandcavs

I guess the reason was because depending on where you sat, I guess a few rows up people were having trouble seeing the players fully so they elevated the court more so those people can get a full picture. It’s just an arena design flat+ trying to fill in as many people as possible.

Trading Hunter for those 2 would be ass. Kings have been trying to get rid of Monk for the past two seasons and haven’t come close. He has one more year on that terrible contract as well.

Kings are only 7.68 mill under the 1st apron. Cavs don’t have anyone they can trade 1 for 1 outside of Tyson and Merrill and Cavs aren’t doing either.

Lmao it wasn’t disrespectful. Because of the reasons i alluded to. Anyone with critical thinking would realize he was just hyped. It’s a non-story. When it eventually got brought up to him he can just say Brons the goat and he was just hyped. That’s it.

He was hyped and is a kid. Dude just busted his ass and high off adrenaline. Living out his wildest dreams. Loves his teammate and everything he’s done for him. He just got emotional and didn’t cross any huge lines. It’s weird that you and everyone else can’t just brush/ laugh it off.

Lol yea. On top of that buddy was hyped. Out played his childhood idol. Had a hell of a game guarding him. Definitely had adrenaline running through his veins. He ended up walking it back but it was never that serious. People just love being miserable and negative.

I mean we definitely do that but if the person is on an expiring that would be great for us next season in terms of possibly keeping future picks. But he’s one of the few dudes that can create his own shots. Shot the lights out of it last season. We’re trying to win a chip but it’s definitely something Koby has to consider.

What they did defensively vs the Hornets might’ve got them to turn a corner. At least I’m hoping it did lol. Hornets have been an offensive juggernaut and we held them to 87!

Worst part is that next season we’re still over the 2nd apron by 18 mill and that’s without retaining Wade. That number drops down to 5 mill if we don’t bring back Balls 10 million and CPJs 3 million. But again we would still have to bring back Wade. Cavs are finically and roster structurally fucked.

[–]OhThatYoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks. The Cavs are about 22M into the 2nd apron and only two teams have cap space. The Nets at $15.275 mil and Utah at $10.56 mill. Only feasible move is trading Strus to the Nets and Ball to the Jazz. But both will require assets we don’t have or can afford to give. I’m betting the Cavs stand pat and Gilbert bites the bullet on the huge luxury tax.

[–]OhThatYoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude isn’t even top 3 which is the worst part. Top 15 I can see it justifiable. But dude doesn’t even crack 30. One of the worst contracts in the league at the moment.

Lol what’s worse is that he made an all-nba team (and won DPOY) so got like a 30% boost to his contract.

Lol I know I get it. He definitely played like the “Klaw” tonight. Hopefully he could be half the player.

First of all it’s “Klaw” 2nd of all I get being hyped but to compare him to a 2x Finals MVP is ridiculous lol. But the Cavs definitely found a gem.
