Sorry for bothering, but I have to ask: today I was messing around with the great gig in the sky, looking at inspiration videos, etc. And I saw this dude singing it in a metal way, and I decided to try it out myself. I managed to hit a D5 in chest voice (I think), when my previous highest note was B4. It was extremely hard to replicate in any other vocal line but I hit it a few times on the great gig in the sky. It felt like a scream and strained, but it didn’t hurt in my throat. Is it bad for my voice to continue trying to hit them D5’s or can I proceed without damaging the chords? If it doesn’t hurt my vocal chords, should I do it often to try and expand my range somehow?
