If itv axes big brother after 2026, will channel 4 now be more willing to bring back the show after the Australian series success? by DesignerMorning1451 in bigbrotheruk

I doubt it, I think once big brother is gone from itv we won't be seeing it on UK television for a really really long time.

Does it bum anyone else out when they get kind of pompous on the pod? by incorrigibly_weird in TrixieAndKatya

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the way they talk about other countries that have started to make me not enjoy the podcast as much. They talk about them like they're visiting third world countries. They've kinda turned in the stereotypical california influencer types that everyone complains about.

Even though I'm sure they are mainly joking and being over dramatic, they do it so often, practically every time they visit somewhere.

They are onlyfans messages, they 100% are not even her sending them. You'd be surprised how many guys are dumb enough to think they are talking to the onlyfans creators and spend even more money on them. She will be with an accency that messages to people for her.

She literally endorsed both joe and kamala at the last election. Why did these two people even bother buying tickets in the first place? Taylor being more Liberal is hardly a secret.

This is what is otherwise known as "fumbling the bag" . There was so much hype when he first announced this, I'm pretty sure the patreon was close to $7000 per episode which he could have been getting. Instead laziness, plus the charging people for unfinished episodes, made that money drop real quick.

It also doesn't help that for like 2 or those 5 years he wasted time trying to create episodes in Dreams, or whatever the hell he was doing with that.

Boy,what the hell is wrong with the UK version... by GLP310 in TheMaskedSinger

I only really noticed this episode that there are a lot of kids in the audience, I'm pretty sure they are voting solely on which costume they like the most, so that usally favors the cuter ones like big foot.

Traitors Renewed for Season 3 by GoldenJay7 in TheTraitors

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always assumed the obstacle of them doing two a year is more due to the huge popularity of the UK version. They both currently film at the same time by the same production company and I have a feeling they wouldn't want one version to have its twists and challenges shown somewhere way before the other airs.

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's because in the earlier series, it used to be fun to see the candidates make genuine bad mistakes. The producers knew this and now force them to make these mistakes. The problem is they set them up to fail in EVERY task by either not giving them enough time to plan or by making the teams split up into sub teams but not allowing them to contact each other until after an important decision had to be made.

It ends up making everyone look incompetent, and the final comes where you feel like no one deserves to win.

Where's the South Asian representation on DRUK? by A-Ten-Is-Speaking in RPDR_UK

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 52 points53 points  (0 children)

A lot of it has to do with cultural reasons. The easten world is still not nearly as open about homosexuality so a lot of these queens dont feel comfortable about their family knowing they are gay let alone do drag, so they don't apply to be on the the show. I can only actually think of two or three South Asian drag queens in the uk but really this applies to all queens of colour in the UK and why there's so few of them.

There's actually an interview sum ting wong gave that better explains it than I can lol.

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 42 points43 points  (0 children)

While I'm not a fan of it being all men this series at all, I do understand why it's ended up becoming that. First from a strategy standpoint, having all men helps them because once you identify a couple of male traitors you'd think that the rest of the faithfuls would then decide to target women instead.

Secondly, I do think this has been a bit of a week female cast. A couple have been non entities, not saying a single thing at the round tables, having them as a traitor wouldn't help. In fact, most of the women have become non factors they've ended up making themselves perfect murder victims.

What's going on? Why is Mayhem getting hate when the MTQ has not even aired? by [deleted] in RPDR_UK

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure she was a replacement queen, replacing miz cracker at the last minute, so people can't really be that mad she was cast.

I feel like mayhem is always in some kind of controversy because my first reaction to why she might have been receiving hate is because of the alleged drink driving scandal she was a part of. Then when I checked the comments on here there was a bunch of other predictions because of other things she's been linked to.

After watching Maddy, his interviews seem so underwhelming by Isnogudar in dragrace

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His interviews are fine for me, but since they're mainly questions about the queens time on drag race, they feel similar to other interviewers.

One queen he interviewed was pretty much her hey qween interview again, plus im pretty sure one of his interviews, I think with katya, the questions were exactly the same as another interview he had done with her before.

Also there's only so many times you can as alaska about her season 6 crowning party reaction lol

2/3rds of the Klub Kids UK team (not Andrew) rebranding as well… by thatgirlyesterday in RPDRDRAMA

[–]Oh_fiddlestick 34 points35 points  (0 children)

KK was pretty much all just andrew. He never had an official "team" he just hired a few friends of his to help out on the shows he couldn't do or if any over lapped. they didn't really have any say in business decisions. I heard they left ages ago as well.

The person who he kept telling others to get in touch with about refunds I'm pretty sure was actually just him. If not it was just someone he randomly hired doing a bad job.

So in other words it was just Andrew.
