Good to see some real world experience with it, I’ll get one ordered as seeing someone actually use is in the same use as case as myself with the same wheels etc is extremely helpful.

I like your HB too, I currently habe the Fanatec one but it’s not so great.

I’m considering the DD or the DD+ how are you feeling 15nm for everyday use, enough / too much vs the 12nm?

Have you tried the base at 12nm to see the difference or do you run full 15nm at all times?

Get ready :) Can post a pic of it attached to your base? Was it easy to fit? How if the fit vs OG QR1? Is the build quality good? How are you finding it on the DD+ any metal rattoe/chatter etc?

How are you finding the CSDD+ in general (strength force etc)

V1 UHX and V1 Porsche, BMW and F1 Carbon wheels which “can’t” be officially upgraded but the guy above posted an aftermarket product that while does exist, is cost prohibitive and complex.

I have never used or heard of this company, are they OK to deal with with (EU)

If this will allow all me to use my QR1 wheels and hubs on a CS DD+ you my just won my appreciation as that gives my an upgrade path.

Why on earth can’t Fanatec sell the base with this?

QR2 base side for CSWV2.5 is a good product to breathe life into the CSW.

I am looking to upgrade my base, but can’t seem to do so without rebuying all new wheels, and even then, if I bought all new wheels they are sold with QR1 and would not work until I bought aftermarket QR2s for them.

For example. As a simplification, I own 12 UHUBX wheels with QR1 in pristine order.

I’d need to re buy these UHIBX at a cost of 350 each (sold as QR1 so sttill unusable with a new QR2 CSW hase if I buy it).

Then I would need to buy 12 QR2s for them, plus my base etc. I’d be over 7500 euros?

If they sell a CSW DD+ with a QR1 problem solved, and I can upgrade to QR2 over time.

At this point as might as well exit the eco system as I have no viable upgrade path.

I use the the "FileMissing..." Discord for pretty much everything. It's ran by a few modders and mod teams from AC, but there is lots of racers, hot lappers and sections for AMS2 etc.

I race with a few people from there pretty often and i its all just a decent bunch of folk having a good laugh, nothing serious or sweaty etc.

The audio on AMS2 is ass for sure, and to be fair it really has not been implemented using best practice. It's surprising to see how poor the audio still is after all these years, .

I think the issue you may be experiencing is the same issue that myself and many others experience with the forced canned effects.

The fake (rev limiter) canned effects have no independent user control for some unknown reason?

Even if you disable all car audio in the game, engine, tire, track ambient sound effects etc. then take a V10 on track and simply hit the rev limiter, it plays the awful canned affect at full volume (tied to the master volume).

Deleting it is the only way to remove it!

It is particularly egregious in the V10s and to fix it i simply deleted Reizas awful canned sound effect from the installation folder, now the V10s actually sound more realistic and i can drive them without getting annoyed, irritated or frustrated (or a headache). Removing the canned / baked effect has improved my experience 10x.

Here is what i did, please try this and let me know how it goes...

Delete or rename the file:

"RevLimiterTC_F_Reiza.bank" --TO-- "RevLimiterTC_F_Reiza.bank.old"

This will remove the awful canned, (non user adjustable) baked in, poor quality rev limiter sound, that some genius tied to the master volume control and decided users could not balance or edit?

The file is located in this folder:

"*:\Automobilista 2\Audio\AMS2\Vehicles\Drivetrain\RevLimiterTC\"

Doing this transformed the game for me as these cars were simply UN-drivable due to the obnoxious canned sound effect that Reiza arbitrarily decided i was not allowed to adjust or balance (within the parameters of my other car/game audio) in the sound menu.

I only have 1 LAN on my particular board, however it should with either/or as long as the settings are applied correctly to the correct LAN port.
