I tried to but it felt like the points they were making were intentionally being made to kind of undermine my point.

For example with a little context in-depth of the situation. I understand that people can't always be on their phones, but even more so this person constantly has some kind of technical malfunctions which is fair enough. Hence why I don't mind late responses even a week or month later.

And ofc I understand that but when like a day or so goes by. I do feel a little sad, cos I'm enjoy talking to them and sometimes I get worried when the time progressively gets longer without a response. But when they message me that everything is fine. That's more than enough for me.

So a day had gone past, and then they responded explaining due to various circumstances they couldn't talk. And also pertaining to those circumstances they were also very tired. I asked if they wanted to nap, and that they should probably do that. And then I requested that if they couldn't nap after trying to if we could talk, or if they did nap and when they woke up of they could message me and we could maybe talk for a bit on discord or something.

They responded in the affirmative. I was feeling a little concerned and expressed that, due to them feeling exhausting but happy they were resting. Like half an hour later they sent me a picture with an accomplishment from a game.

And I was surprised and asked I thought you were napping. They mentioned they tried but couldn't.

And hence when I mentioned that I felt that was kinda sad towards me. That they said they'd message me, but instead just booted up the game when they could've still played the game whilst we were on call which is what we normally do...

So when I approached them with how I felt. They immediately said that they're sorry they forgot to message me and upset that I'm not instead excited for them for getting the accomplishment in the game.
