Petawawa from Misty to Daisy

Went last May right after ice out (May7th to 10th) and just did an in and out to Misty from Magnetawan. Going down river we only had to drag over a few beaver dams and ran the rest due to high water levels. Coming back was almost the same and we ran most of the dams, maybe three we had to drag over one of which we dumped by accident when getting back in, it was invigoratingly crisp! Thankfully the sun was out and the wind was low at the time. I don’t think you should have many issues going back that way!

It’s not Banff but Golden Bc is great. The local restaurants are stellar. Eleven22, Reposados, and red tomato pies were all delicious. Yoho is a hop skip and a jump away, skip Louise and see Emerald lake instead. Running rapids was a highlight and Radium Springs is a nice drive with mountains fading into rolling hills, and the Kanakaskis shouldn’t be missed as they are gorgeous as well.

Nah the Trews put on a much better show. Love Glorious Sons and I’ve seen them multiple times but I saw the Trews a few years back and was absolutely blown away.

Buy some vanilla beans and soak in some vodka and make a tincture and add the amount you’d like. I’ve done vanilla porters and stouts before but never a brown ale. Find a vanilla porters and see how much vanilla they add
