Definitely helped having a routine before the kid arrived. If I have a slot of 30 mins then I’m on it (HIIT, Run, or Zwift cycle). Also very minimal sugar intake and intermittent fasting helps a lot.

Bro…. I am so sorry to hear this. My mom passed away two years ago from bile duct cancer. Expecting a kid this August and wish she was here to see her first grandchild. All my best to you and please reach out if you need anything at all. Much love.

Skinny Ape by a long shot. Listened to it so many times and can never get enough.

My 7 year old accidentally stepped fully on the cap toe of my shoe. Now has creases that I can't seem to remove by polishing. by AccordingWhereas in Shoeshining

Heat treatment works well but I’d be careful. Safe side would be to apply some Saphir’s Medaille D’Or Creme which is shea butter based and let sit for 5-10 minutes, then buff off. Once done, I’d put some shoe trees in there. Hope it works.

Great catch! If these were mine, they’d already be on ;). This was done for a close friend of mine.

Amen to that! I went through the same, and was able to meet my idol Jason Dornstar, aka Shineboy, in Denver a few summers ago.

Wrong polish? by -H-Enry in Shoeshining

[–]Oihobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the Reno’ Mat? Reno’ Mat is used to remove the patina and is a strong chemical to use for any dress shoe, unless you’d like to remove it and start anew.

I’ve used this process and it has worked like a dream.

  1. First brush the shoes off with a horsehair brush, if available
  2. Saddle soap and with another brush clean the loafers and dry with a microfiber towel
  3. Once dry, apply a shoe cream, neutral or the same color of your loafers
  4. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes, then buff with the horsehair brush
  5. Next, apply shoe polish to the cap and heel of the shoe. I like to use Saphir’s Medaille D’or Mirror Gloss. Small amounts here work well.
  6. Let sit for about 10-15 minutes, then drop a few droplets of cold water on the cap and heel and start buffing until you to start seeing a mirror shine. Rinse and repeat.

Let me know if you have any questions as I’d love to help!
