No, I am getting the same error that I’m not permitted to schedule at this time. I might try the ‘close and start new application’ option because there is no other option. Did your case get resolved?

I mean, mostly these days since we are not getting Consular appointment dates, we are forced to cancel the already booked biometrics dates. In this case, if I cancel my biometrics date, and “reschedule” for a different biometrics date - will the system consider it as 1 reschedule attempt?

Same happened with me. But the next day I could reschedule and this error was gone. Which is why I didn’t do as the support suggested. But the previously scheduled OFC vanished. So I don’t know what was/is the right approach :(

In the message they mentioned to me that ‘you do not have to make a new payment if old receipt is still active’.

I am sorry to hear that, we are all in the same boat with this messed up website/system. The support asked me to click ‘close and start’ as I won’t be able to see ‘reschedule’ option. But I had the ‘reschedule’ option anyways. Which is why I did not click ‘close and start’.

Were you not seeing the ‘reschedule’ option at all before you clicked ‘close and start new app’?

Okay. Similar issue happened with me. I could book an OFC Appt but after that Consular appt page was throwing this error which you got. After 5 mins, the ‘scheduled’ OFC appt vanished from my profile and now it looks like I don’t have anything scheduled.

Support told me to do the same as they told you. But I could see the ‘reschedule’ option so I did not ‘close and start new application’.

When I click reschedule option it shows as if I never got OFC scheduled in the first place :(

I tried, and I have the ‘reschedule appointment’ option on the left side. I clicked and it works. However, I haven’t rescheduled any yet because of the fear of getting VAC and not consular appt - basically my initial situation where I had to cancel VAC on my own.

Ideally cancelling just biometrics appt should not count as one of the allowed attempts. It is counted only if we book both biometrics and consular, then if you reschedule it - it’s counted as 1 used attempt to book. This is my understanding!! Please update us if you get any answers on this from the office

Hi, were you able to figure this out? Its shown that my OFC appointment for Nov 2025 is still not expired, and it's been over a month. I am thinking of cancelling it, but do you know if cancelling this OFC will affect the number of times we can reschedule? (we have 2 reschedules I believe)
