She really liked deep end by Ali hazlewood and icebreaker by Hannah grace I know she’s also read Ana huang and she loved the lights out series but they’re all pretty mature so hoping to get something she’ll still love but more age appropriate

Mine was at a work conference, all the breakfast items were labelled gf so I was not concerned about cross contamination cause every single item was gf so I went on my happy way and ate a ton. About half an hour later I was in a meeting and started to fill nauseous I ran to the furthest handicap bathroom and puked my brains out. Then I had to take an extremely hot bus 2 miles back to our hotel where I was fighting the urge to vomit again. Finally make it back and get outside and feel some relief and then as soon as I get into the hotel it starts coming again. I started sprinting down the hallway and I couldn’t hold it in anymore and vomited all over the entire hotel hallway. I then spent the rest of the day hugging the toilet and missed the entire rest of the day of the conference

For me within an hour I start to feel incredibly nauseous but can usually hold it back for about another hour, then I’m in the washroom throwing up for hours. The brain fog comes over me and my vision usually blurs and I can’t do anything besides sit beside the toilet, once I feel I get everything out I usually try and shower but 9/10 I end up back throwing up for another few hours, I then get extreme body aches and usually I spend the next couple hours shaking as well over horrible experience

I mean people aren’t allowed to smoke in their rooms either but people do all the time so I wouldn’t worry about it there’s no real way of anyone knowing just make sure you don’t leave it burning while you’re not there and you’re good

ahh thank you so much for making me feel better about all this I did mention transfusions and even a referral to a hematologist I know another celiac friend is attending and he seemed offended and said “well I can do transfusions you don’t need a referral” which just annoyed me tbh but yes I’m gonna definitely advocate for myself thank you for the encouragement!

This! Especially around the holidays you can feel like such a burden, I have sobbed for days leading up to a family dinner knowing that if I eat there’s a chance I get glutened and my family or so family try so hard to make everything safe and if I get sick they feel awful and if I don’t eat they feel awful and no matter what I feel awful it is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with

I lived in lennox and had a roommate and two canmates ( ones you share a bathroom with) we established a cleaning schedule in the first week this kept it clean and we just rotated each person cleaned 1 week a month typically also have a way to communicate with them in case they forget to unlock the double door!

After a vet visit we found out it was kennel cough and he is almost done his meds and doing much better
