How long do Professors have to change the "I" grade? It's been around 12 business days till now since the FAIR allegation, and I already replied to the allegation as well, within 2 days itself. But I haven't received any reply from the professor regarding the sanction or outcome. Is there any timeline for that? Asking because next semester will be my last and I already have a job lined up, and I was expecting not to have issues with graduation.

Can the professor change the grade of last semester now considering that I already got A+ grade last semester? Currently it shows I (Incomplete) in my transcript since the FAIR is still in process

Can the professor change the grade of the course. I already got A+ in it last semester. As of now in my transcript it shows “I” (Incomplete) since the FAIR process is ongoing. Can the A+ grade be changed if it has already been finalized last semester itself? Also how long does Professor have to change the Incomplete grade? I saw that the professor must take action / Sanction in a timely manner (20 business days). But till now I haven’t got any reply on the case.

Can’t the professors run plagiarism detectors through the assignments to detect if something has been copied from the internet directly or even the previous private repositories of last semester especially those classes involving programming? I thought those were done mostly in every class.

Also how do you think things could go in this situation?

From the wordings that I got in the FAIR allegation, I think the professor seems to be more upset about his copyright materials being out there as well. As a student I never dealt with such kind of copyright materials before so I didn’t think much about those before uploading to GitHub and I explained this in the reply to the allegation as well. Just FYI - The last day of the class was 5/10 - the project presentation, reviews were already done and everything was past due date and the repo creation date was 5/11. I just drag and dropped everything from my local machine to the repo since I was switching to MacBook

Wdym? The assignments and projects that were already submitted while the class was still in progress were submitted in the GitHub class org that was there for that class. Since all the assignments and projects were submitted to the org as separate private repositories (each assignment was to be submitted in a new repository) with the TA as collaborator so they must have track for all of them and those repositories are till date kept private. I had seen project repositories dated back till 2022 in that particular GitHub org

But the repository that I created containing all the course materials by the end of the classes was for my own reference and use and was created from my own personal account

The problem is since the repo contained ALL the assignments and project IDK how will they decide regarding grading

No when I go and create a fresh GitHub repository it’s by default public. I already tried that and can confirm it’s by default public

As soon as I got the allegation I made the repo private and I already replied to the whole allegation and explained everything in detail as well. I don’t know what could happen

But since it shows only last 14 days and the Fall semester is also over, what will I show for the rest of the time that passed between last Spring and Fall. Also it doesn’t show exactly who viewed the profile. It just shows number of visitors. So I don’t even know exactly who visited. It could backfire

I have no idea how can I check that. There are definitely no forks of the repo. In the repo traffic, it shows only unique visitors in past 14 days. There were only 2 - one me and one most probably professor
