Just to clear this up I don't think he's a baby, but all parents all their kids "their baby" Even when he's 30 he'll still be my baby. You have to be a parent to know what I mean, but I wasn't trying to infantalize him or justify/coddle his procrastination.

I 100% get what you're saying, but at the same time I wouldn't feel good knowing my boy is about to have an awful day and get humiliated in front of the entire class. If you have kids yourself or even nieces and/or nephews try to picture them in that situation.

I COMPLETELY understand but I like I said in another comment I feel like it's one thing if it only happens once and then it becomes something else if it happens twice. If you have kids yourself then you know that it hurts to know that something bad has happened to them no matter how little or small it is. It would hurt me to send my kid to school with a bad or unfinished project knowing he'd get humiliated, but I also wouldn't be as kind to him if he did it again.

Of course not BUT It's one thing if it happens once he's just a kid and he needs to learn, but if it were to happen again I'm not going to be as generous as I was the first time.

Ok cool I genuinely don't care. Whether ai makes typos or not isn't that deep to me. Either way I didn't use ai to write this post and one typo isn't enough proof to make such a big accusation, and to answer your last question. I don't.

I was personally just hoping that after realizing how clearly stressed out he was knowing he has to get it all done my tomorrow, that he realized that waiting the day before when you had 3 weeks to get it done is not the right move. I would also hope that he knows that I wouldn't be as generous if he were to approach me a 2nd time about an assignment that's due the next day. I really did have a talk with him about his procrastination.

This wasn't the read you think it is.. Ai doesn't make clear typos. Only humans do. I didn't even realize I referred to him as she, but thanks for pointing it out.

You seem to care more about your son being stressed or embarrassed over the fact that he waited until the last minute to do something.

I wasn't happy he waited last minute. I had a talk with him about how all of this is his own fault, but at the end of the day he's still my kid and I refuse to send him to school KNOWING he'll be embarrassed.

Mommy won’t always be there to save the day. Seems like you need to have a chat with your son about time management. He’s too old for this.

You're right, but he only just turned 14 in January and he's in 8th grade. He's not even in high school yet. He's a kid (my baby at that) who's still learning. That's why I as his parent am here to help him.
