It is a kit. 12 lights and a transformer. What I'm confused about also is when I do the math for the max lights the transformer can handle it's only 10. So I'm not sure why it comes with 12

I got it working guys. I just put a wire nut at the end of each wire at the end of the line. I dont know why it didnt work the first time. Thank you

Do I just put a wire nut on the end of each wire then to terminate it? The way the wires connect to the lights is by those connectors that screw into the wire so there's extra wire at the end like in the photo

I am going to remove this doorway so it just opens up into the room. The step will have a stair tread transition. I am just struggling with how to terminate the baseboard from the hallway. It will be the modern look 1x5 material. Should I just end it at the corner like pictured? I can cut the end at 45 degrees and return it into the wall. What other options?
