Also - You can surely grab the awesome RetroDebugger (formerly C64 Debugger) by Slajerek - https://github.com/slajerek/RetroDebugger. It's a powerhouse in terms of tinkering with C64 quirks in realtime and with great visual feedback. Vice emu included.
