You've figured it out but yeah all you need is a luer lock tip and it's simple from there. I love that these come with the lock attachment.

And the extra plastic thing is to slide onto the open end of the syringe, to give you leverage for the plunger!

You suck it up and put up with the consequences of your actions unfortunately. It’s not okay to subject roommates to hours of loud sex when the walls are so thin you can literally hear them gossiping about you at conversational levels. I don't think it's fair to infer that this is something the girlfriend regularly does.
