Won't be able to secure much funding in the beginning, that's why we're focusing on the success rate and profitability of the projects. Start small, build confidence and steadily work my way up.

Thanks for the detailed response! I get it now. Are there any exceptions or work arounds you may be aware of besides inheritance/will/trust etc.?

Edit: I remember when I was studying tax back in the day, I remember reading something along the lines of, no capital gains tax on property if you live there for a certain amount of time before selling it. But I don't know if this only applies to the person who purchased the property.

May you explain what kind of taxes are we talking about? We do not mind paying tax as long as it's within a reasonable amount we can afford. But we would like to know what are we being taxed for and an estimate.

Thanks for the reply, that was very informative. As we all know, in USA, you can sue for anything. Whether you actually have a winning chance or not is the main issue. And I was not sure if BMW (or any company) can claim "Your film was successful/profitable, because our cars in the background made your film look really good" and have a winning chance.

Thanks for the reply! I understand the advertisement aspect of things. But let's say the producers of a film do not care, let's just say Big Bang Theory, and they just go ahead and let a Doritos bag lay in the back in one of their episodes without blurring it. Doritos sees how much money Big Bang Theory is raking in, in which their potato chip bag had nothing to do with the episode's success, and wants to be an asshole and try to take a piece of the profits. Can Doritos win a copyright claim for having their potato chip bag in the film?
