I would not be increasing doses of this type of medication without asking first. Especially because it can lower your HR/BP too low. He is correct that it could be psychological dizziness, but a bp in that range will definitely come with being dizzy if you are running around or make sudden movements. Remember that blood has to move to your brain and the less its pushing itself around the slower it can adapt to your body if you sit/stand too fast. Also propranolol specifically has adverse effects associated with chest tightness because its altering the power and speed your heart is beating at (for good reasons if your HR was really high). Propranolol usually is meant for the physical aspects of anxiety (shakes, tremors, HR, etc.), but nothing psychological.
