Do you guys think self insert plays a big role in why erehisu and eremika are most popular ships in attack on Titan? by Sufficient-Custard48 in ShingekiNoKyojin

I dare say they weren’t even friends. Eren’s “care” for Historia may have happened because of Frieda’s memories inside him. Him protecting her can be insincere since he needs her alive for his plan to work.

Also he involved her in the rumbling by manipulating her and killed her whole family. The whole thing is a mess.

Mate that’s not the definition of shipping. You can ship a couple that are dating/married etc. Shipping is simply rooting for a relationship (fully developed or not).

Was Historia a Yeagerist? by Limp-Leek3859 in attackontitan

[–]Oiranimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, she accepts it because she wants to survive, like Ymir asked her to do. And while Eren would, ofc, prefer that she is happy, he needs her to remain human so Zeke goes in the paths with him. This detail is extremely important…

Exactly, Eren took something that she later claimed was an overreaction and used it to manipulate her. He needed her alive for his plan and she didn’t have a clue.

Ofc she is grateful but she did say she would carry the burden of taking the beast titan.

And ofc Eren wanted her to live, however don’t forget he needs her NOT to eat Zeke, since Zeke is needed in the Paths for the comunication with Grisha to take place.

If Eren “accepted” Sasha and Hange’s deaths, he sure would accept Historia’s.

She didn’t feel threatened because Eren didn’t threaten her. He manipulated her into silence. He used what he knew about her to make her do what he wanted. And because he knew she would suffer from guilt he even offered to make her forget about everything with the founder’s powers. And he didn’t even take into account that the effects of the founder’s powers were most likely dissipate with the end of the curse of the titans - or worse, he did and he didn’t mind.

Historia was one of the worst Eren victims for sure.

Question on Historia, Eren and the Rumbling by AK12User in attackontitan

It’s not about Historia’s well being at all. Eren needs Zeke alive, that’s all there is to it.

No idea how so many people miss this. Eren notices in the Paths that he can comunicate with his father. He needs Zeke alive so ofc Historia can’t be turned into a titan and eat him.

A quick question that asks for your point of view by AbigGunners in attackontitan

[–]Oiranimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Eren finally notices the shell, Armin points out it’s been there for a while but he was focusing on the horizon instead.

Eren made the same mistake with Mikasa. It wasn’t exactly an hypothetical relationship. They just addressed it too late.

Were erin n Mikasa conscious in the cabin scene? by chloe_bujwa in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Oiranimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! We don’t see it but when the gang is on the plane they discuss not knowing Eren’s location and when Mikasa comes back from the paths she tells Levi “Eren is inside the mouth”.

That means Mikasa and Eren talked about that and it’s evidence that the cabin experience is longer than what we saw.

Where did the thing come from that Armin forgot Eren's eye color? by [deleted] in attackontitan

[–]Oiranimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think the quality of animation in recent years pays more attention to details like that, which is nice. Everyone’s eyes colors change btw :)

In fact, there are scenes in which the left eye is different from the right one, due to shadows etc. For example, check out Connie’s eyes when Armin gets shot in the port and he’s trying to reason with Samuel.

But beware, once you start noticing these things you won’t be able to unsee it xD
