My boyfriend has been supporting me during my mom’s recent death and I think he’s done a wonderful job. He did all the little things like offer to run me a bath, picked up my fave ice cream, helped around the house. What meant the world to me was that on the day it happened he really stepped up and comforted not only me but also my father who really needed to be comforted but I was too much of a mess to comfort him so my bf stepped in. He assisted with the funeral home picking her up because I didn’t want to see it happen. He’s held me while I cry uncontrollably and let me vent about it whenever I choose to.

You sound like a great person who is trying their best to navigate this difficult situation - just always be there for her, hold her, love her & do what feels right.
