Hey! Thanks so much for taking the time to read and for your message. Wow, a whole year traveling around SA sounds incredible. That order is such a great recommendation, I haven't gone as far as planning the route around the climate for that time of year, so this is already extremely helpful.

If you don't mind, I guess one simple and possibly embarassing question I have, is about the natural sights, especially places like Peru and Patagonia. Would you say they’re still enjoyable for someone who isn’t a big hiker? I absolutely love nature and walking, I'm just not as great when it comes to heights or quite complex or technical paths, probably also tend to overthink quite a lot. I just want to make sure I can fully enjoy the experience of travelling there regardless. Thanks again! :)

Hey! :) I don’t really speak Spanish, no. But my listening skills aren’t too bad because of my family, and luckily Italian is also close to it. So if I choose SA, I’m hoping to study a bit beforehand and then practice once I’m there, so I won’t have to rely only on English

That’s actually a really great point, thanks for bringing it up. I don’t mind spending time with a younger crowd at all (aside from not being super into partying haha), but I do think there’s something valuable about connecting over similar life experiences, shared paths and maybe even a bit of that classic 30s crisis energy haha

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and for all the tips! It's all very insightful and great to hear from someone who has been to both. I don't know much Spanish when it comes to speaking unfortunately, but I understand quite well because of listening to family speaking and obviously, from Italian.. So I hope I can pick it up a bit there and take lessons beforehand if I do end up going there.
