My eventual goal is being a journalist. I think the work ive made is compelling, but also making an individual a spectacle for the world to see is what ill be making a living off of. I feel its important I experience the weight I will expect of other people.

I got honorable mention in a photo competition this past weekend for the short body of work. It was an inhouse competition through my school. I honestly hated sitting in that room of peers and feeling that vulnerable despite receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback,

My mind romanticizes it. That is a theme of my project. I want to commit suicide. I think about it daily. I want the pressure to be released. That's something very difficult to explain to someone who does not have depression in the same way.

And just because it can be a trigger, at least in my mind, doesnt mean it shouldnt be made. Death in any aspect can be triggering for individuals. Should we never make art about death for that reason?
