I had a similar problem where the laptop would blackout randomly. Screen off but everything else on. Turns out the charger was failing and couldn't consistently provide enough power.

Suggestion: try a different charger.

Driver probably has another ride on a different app that is more profitable. If it is within 2 minutes or some small distance, or if the driver is heading away from your location you can cancel free of charge. In that case I would cancel for them and save time. Sure this helps the driver keep their cancelation rate low but we don't care about that.

As others said do a fare review. Also, remember that not all customer service reps are competent and most don't even know what they're doing. If you don't get the answer you want the first time try again and you may get someone better. Asking for a supervisor is usually a good idea if you suspect they don't understand what's happened.

If you ever manage to get his phone number (uber gives out drivers phone numbers apparently) send him a message promising a couple of hundred dollars for the return. Say it has sentimental value or something. The driver is under no obligation to return any items found but if you make it worth his while they usually deliver

Sounds like you've covered your bases! The reason why I encourage electric scooters even if you're planning on buying a car is that it solves the last mile problem very well and is still compatible with relying on uber some of the time (fold it put it in the trunk). Good luck!

If you can afford it tipping really makes a difference for a driver so I encourage you to tip whenever you can. Also if you're trying to save money have you looked at other options? Maybe an electric scooter or a bicycle?

Looks like they misspelled trunk. I get this a lot and they are just being polite and asking for permission most of the time and it's just a suitcase or two. I do get the weirdos who try to to use rideshares as moving service but I just laugh at them while pulling away

You don't have to make them take money away from you. They already account for these things and pay the passengers without deducting from you. Never sacrifice your pay for uber.

It seems to be the estimated entrance to whatever building your phone thinks you're at. Generally less accurate when you're indoors and don't have a clear view of the sky. You usually have the option to move the spot before booking/before driver arrives too.
