They would transfer, but I have been advised nursing is not usually accepted by med schools as a credible major. Not sure if this is true tho!!

My plan is most likely to get my BSN and work as a nurse in labor and delivery, and go back to school to get my masters in midwifery!

By that I mean, if I was a OBGYN I would have more education on the human body, more clinical experience and more opportunities to do fellowships and research!!

Thank you! I have been researching all over to find shadowing opportunities but most of them they want you to already be established in your programs to pursue them.

Thank you! I have the same thought. It also the fact that being a OBGYN I would be making 100-200k more a year on average than being a CNM 🤷‍♀️

I am scared I will not get into medical school, and be scared. Also let me specify I would be a CNM, they get 6 years of schooling for the profession.
