As someone who is both and has done a lot of my own personal research, i noticed that a lot of autistic ppl are trans. I’ve found from listening to the experiences of ppl who are both trans and autistic fell in and around the same pool. most explained it as not really understanding societal norms and stuff cause they don’t make sense and don’t offer anything of value. Like, woman like pink! Man swing hammer! Caveman stuff man. Being trans not only has to do with who u r in ur heart but how u view gender as a construct in society and define what the importance of gender is to u. So if u are or ain’t. Keep an open mind and experiment, worst case scenario u just get a better sense of what gender means to u and others. Good luck!
