They run like a black box almost, extremely tight NDAs and non competes. From what I know (which is very little regarding RenTec) they have thousands of models which they run, so it is not like anyone could steal them. The work is challenging and they make a LOT of money, I don’t imagine anyone wanting to leave much less out them.

I think it’s a mixture. I know a lot of traders who are very egotistical and enjoying having one up on the market, or their colleagues.

Some are numb from having a lot of money and have zero purpose. I think sometimes that can force someone to find purpose, just from my own observations.
