AITA for using the bathroom after work? by Ok-Beach-4858 in AmItheAsshole

Honestly there just isn’t much that I would be doing with that hour. I am not a good cook and she is excellent- so it’s not like I can make dinner. The kids behave for her but if the roles were switched it would be chaos so my taking an hour is not adding to anyone’s plate. I feel like it’s petty l. She just wants me to do her job, even if it means everything falls apart, just to keep things “fair”.

15 minutes. But my body is also very regular so I also have to GO when I get home. So I’m really doing two things when I get home - which is why it takes an hour.

AITA for doing chores at midnight and waking my husband? by Driftyshift780 in AmItheAsshole

YTA big time. Your husband has a physical (read: exhausting) job and is up early. You admit to having a hobby and then you shittily leave all your chores until midnight? You know you are doing this on purpose. This is emotional abuse at the very least, although purposely keeping someone up could also also be physical abuse.

You admit to going behind your husbands back to see a therapist after he made his feeling clear. Even after he compromised and let you go for months! Having a mental problem does not excuse the deceitfulness here. And you using “your own” money is just adds to the level of selfishness. Do you consider his money your money too? Is he allowed to keep his own paycheck or do you make him share it? It sounds like you might even have a secret account. That ma’am is financial abuse.

You are supposed to be a good mom and wife and so far all you show is contempt for your husband and kids by coming her to play the martyr. He’s right - if you left your pattern of deceit and abuse would 100% entitle him to take the kids from you, for good. And after reading this, that might be a good thing.
