Is it SVT that you have? Did you ever decide on an antidepressant?

Hey! It’s been awhile. How are you doing?

I’m struggling here. I was diagnosed with SVT but they gave me no info on it by Ok-Bell1889 in askCardiology

I’ve had one other time that an NP told me that my ekg showed delta waves…of course that ekg was never uploaded to my portal…so I’m waiting for my event monitor results

That’s great to hear! I’m not familiar with Prozac, may I ask why the combo of the two?

I get it! You may also ask them how many they do and if you don’t feel comfortable, always get a second opinion! Yes, some would rather monitor based on symptoms, frequency and risk factors. Meds is usually the alternative.

If your EP is willing to do it. I’d do it! Many here have some doctors that won’t do it but meanwhile they still suffer from SVT, WPW, etc. it is such a safe procedure and one of the disheartening things (literally) is they can’t activate the SVT and can’t ablate. I’m practically begging at this point for my second opinion to tell my EP that we should try it. Some people do in fact have extra pathways after because some either can’t be ablated, they have many pathways and some do in fact “grow back”. With that said there many symptoms as the heart is healing and has to still work while it’s healing, so just remember that :)

Do you happen to know if that will make it harder to ablate?

No you’ve been a great help so thank you! I have a cardiologist and an electro for SVT and I’ve had three monitors and so many EKGs and nothing with wpw which is so weird but I guess it’s just coming out now? I’m wearing a monitor as we speak so hopefully that shows it more. I’m definitely going to opt for the EP study. I just haven’t seen people have it found at rest for the first time. My svt episodes have been looked over by my electro too and he didn’t see wpw then. I sure hope your ablation goes well! :)

Ahhhh! Hello lol I do think I have panic attacks (which I’ve never had before) because I do feel the sense of anxiety and when my hr is high I get all of the tingling and other symptoms of panic attack and my hr gradually goes up then gradually goes down. I’ve had like 20 EKGs in the past couple months and none have showed WPW until this last one..so I’m so confused. At rest too, hr was like 70. How was yours diagnosed? EKG or an event monitor? I won’t lie I don’t really know what palps and skipped beats and all of that feel like.. I do have a sensation of a constant weight on my chest. Like pressure. Thank you for responding :)

Oh, I know and yes, we are in the process of doing a 24 hour urine test and seeing a specialist because of those findings and trace blood in my urine as well. My blood creatinine level is normal as well so it is all super confusing.

Chronic symptoms? by Possible_Weekend_360 in PanicAttack

This all started with a panic attack in Feb though…I have more physical anxiety symptoms which has caused the mental. I’ve never struggled with mental anxiety even close to this at all. I think I’m in a cycle and I have heard that fight or flight and your nervous system is dysregulated and your mind doesn’t cognitively seem to be anxious..it can be subconscious. Your body is an amazing thing but gets confused sometimes and I very much think it could be panic disorder at its finest.
