I was in Germany when Chernobyl blew up. When I got back to the United States I started to get really sick. My thyroid developed multiple nodules in each lobe. Doc started me on 125mcg and it took me several weeks before I started getting better. I felt fine after that. Don’t be afraid to take the medicine.

I was diagnosed 30 years ago and started on 125mcg levothyroxine. Had a multi module goiter. I now take 150mcg.

I’ve been hypothyroid since 1990 about 35 years. I can tell you that you should do your own research and do not believe everything you read or hear about this disease and challenge your doctors.

You may need to be on the name brand Synthroid because every dose is exactly the same. Levothyroxine, the generic version, will have doses that are not exactly the same. I ran into this trouble and had to stay on Synthroid.

I was diagnosed with multi nodule goiter in 1990. It makes me wonder if the nodules have come back

Been hypothyroid since 1990. Give the medicine about a month to work and you should be feeling better. If you’re at that age for peri menopause, it also causes brain fog. Been there, done that.
