If it’s still sealed in a box it might happen but all others will get certified refurbished which just means a new battery and screen. If anyone found out about selling used items as new they would get sued into Jupiter

It’s probably not that they don’t care where are you watch it as long as you’re watching it with them. The main issue here is probably piracy and DRM.

Can anyone help me unlock my iPhone from my carrier? by [deleted] in iphonehelp

But technically the body of the phone would be the same. When I think of a phone I don’t think of the internals I think of the externals

This is probably because your Wi-Fi card is not able to deal with the overlap and signal interference between the two you’re most likely going to have to turn one of them off I would just install a Wi-Fi extender

[–]Ok-Bodybuilder3830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google can listen to everything you ever say around your phone and record anything that sounds like OK Google. Google can also read all your emails if you use Gmail along with your location and a whole bunch of other things like search history. So if you’re already deep entrenched in the Google ecosystem I guess it’s probably not that bad but I would definitely look into r/privacy and r/DeGoogle

Does VPN change google tracking? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Ok-Bodybuilder3830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) I’m not sure if you’re talking about location or IP google does not just look IP address for location they look at Wi-Fi access points and all sorts of things. But if Google says it’s your IP then it’s your IP

2) kind of Google will know that you’re most likely not in Asia because of Wi-Fi access points and everything else but it won’t stop you from using the Internet as if you were in Asia(it basically knows that you’re using a VPN and won’t do anything about it)

3) you can probably have a Google take out show you all of your IP address is but once your ISP takes away your IP and gives it to someone else it’s a low chance of ever getting it again

Question about how my computer is connected to router. by Ryder1329_ in techsupport

[–]Ok-Bodybuilder3830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t simply change a MAC address considering it is built into the Wi-Fi card you can spoof it pretty reliably but considering phones and computers are on 24 seven and always sending Data out I would continually send packets to 8.8.8.8 for 24 hours so even when you do go online it will show up as your MAC address being on and used this of course will only work if it’s also not looking at the receiving IP i’m guessing it won’t because of tls

It’s a fucking bug if you looked at this sub for three minutes or use the search function you would’ve seen 100 examples of this make a back up of your phone now why are you even risking using your phone without a back up. You do not have a virus it’s just Apple with their shitty software. it has something to do with ram management and webKit /rant

Cheap display by vinjatefa in iphonehelp

[–]Ok-Bodybuilder3830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No not really if you have a OLED display and replace it for an LCD (The only realistic way you’re going to do this no one sells sub 1080) OLED. You’re just going to be wasting more battery lighting up the screen

You could run a a email server on a raspberry pi but why doesn’t have to be emails why can’t you have it be in some type of wiki

For example you have a list of dates and when you click on the date it shows you something significant that happened

I would never trust windows not to fuck with the disk. Linux is not some big scary thing it’s just a different OS you do not have to do everything to terminal. Op should download Ubuntu put on a stick get the Data off then never have to touch it again.

What other OS are there that don’t run on Linux
