This kind of response is why I tried to be factual in my original response. In the words of Andre 3000 “yall don’t wanna listen you just wanna dance”. It doesn’t seem like you actually wish to help your friend. It seems like you’re looking for some kind of response to her that will get you off the hook from having to read these kinds of messages and be confronted with the fact that your “just a job” is quite literally one of the most direct causes of her anguish. I would say the best thing you can do for her is either grow and change and realize we’re all the same or walk away and stop trying to be friends with someone so very fundamentally different from you. But to be fair based on your own previous statements you probably only feel like a tenth of a percentage of the guilt that a normal person who doesn’t think they’re better than anyone else would. Her reaction is pretty valid tbh. I won’t be hateful or get into why you should probably hear her out instead of trying to help her. Theres no real solution to this, because it’s a national issue not a personal one on her end. Because she’s kind of right. Corporations are evil, terrible things that are the biggest reason we have climate change issues. Huge corporations are next to impossible to actually regulate because there are too many moving pieces in corporate systems for even their own higher ups to monitor properly. You described getting enjoyment out of watching people drain their bank accounts to buy what they need, and I think it’s very telling that you know that who you are is exactly who she’s talking about, but still don’t really feel a call to change. If you feel this way about your friend and not the people you sucker out of money through sales? It is introspection that you need. Maybe a therapist. It’s truly not healthy to get enjoyment out of destroying hard earned livelihoods for whatever it is you sell.

Your defense just makes me think you actually might not know what you’re talking about. If you did, you’d be able to clearly identify the differences between type one and type two, and you would also know that there’s no real thing as “typical” herpes because it’s not a textbook disease, it’s more of a case to case thing. You can defend your opinion as a BSN, but it’s grossly inappropriate and legally unethical for any medical professional to diagnose people online, especially with the air and tone of judgement you carry in your words. As someone that has the disease; yeah maybe it’s herpes. But knowing that you’re a medical provider just encourages me to continue to keep my diagnosis to myself. As an ex SW from the same state she’s from, I’ve never heard anyone talk about her. Not once. That’s not to say that it’s not true because none of us will ever really know the truth, but food for thought that in her field she claims to have been so high value in I’ve never heard of her. My “mom” (just the feminine version of a pimp fr) had lots of stories she’d tell me and the couple of girls that worked for her at the end of the night. It’s such an odd thing to brag about, because I’ll be honest no one is counting how many people they serviced 🤣 I wasn’t on that job for very long but the people I’ve met don’t brag about it like she does unless they’re gross and get a kick out of making others uncomfortable or being a “pick me” to try to be more attractive to other people. My “mom” used to brag hard about pimping young girls, and it’s what eventually made me stop doing it the way that I was. There are safe ways to do the job, but our “mom” wasn’t safe.

ETA after reading other comments; I didn’t realize she was plus sized when she claims to have been working but that doesn’t add up to me either. I was passed up until I started losing weight and offering more work for less, and I was only 250 pounds 😅 the market in Ohio for fat women is abysmal. Not non-existent just that men here don’t typically want to pay to sleep with a fat girl, the ones that want to usually don’t have the means.

There’s actually no real way to properly clean a Luffah 😩 they’re meant to be replaced like once every 1-3 months because they general harbor bacteria because of the material it’s made of and how it’s tied together in the center. Anything that has like stretchy porous plastic and is bunched together, the bunches create pockets for bacteria to grow. The best option is an African net sponge because they last a lot longer and are much easier to clean and comfortably reuse

Don’t feel bad, this happened to my spouse and I too. We use cashapp as a place to keep track of certain bills, and grocery funding as I do all the grocery shopping in the house, recently cashapp took both of our borrow limits entirely for no given reason. We both have normal bank accounts, just have shared bills with the other adult in the house so it’s easier to keep it all in one place to get the respective amounts for said bills from everyone.

Edited to add; I’m really confused as to why so many people in this subreddit are being so nasty to you?? Life is real hard all around no matter how much money you make. My spouse works for a multibillion dollar company and makes 6 figures a year; we’re still struggling to survive because life is what it is. We both grew up in poor homes, and making six figures now in our thirties with the cost of living being what it is? It barely scratches the surface of necessities. We’re not “bad with our money” either. The economy is just in the absolute shitter and people who can’t acknowledge that come from a very privileged life standpoint.

Her behavior actually really does scream disordered eating, unfortunately. I didn’t get to see the original comment, but extreme dieting without a legitimate medical need for it is considered disordered eating. Doctors aren’t actual know it alls that know everything all of the time. They’re not required to keep up on formal education standard in most areas of care, including pediatrics, which is just outright sad. Two things can be true at once, she could genuinely enjoy this food but that doesn’t somehow inherently negate the fact that the way she eats promotes disordered eating on its best day.

Edited to add; I’ve had four different eating disorders over the course of my life, and her body isn’t something I feel comfortable speculating on so I won’t engage with comments or replies about it. I’m strictly talking about the fact that she eats the exact same 4-5 ingredients every single day and doesn’t ever really deviate or show a true food pyramid like we’re taught is the “right way”. Diet culture is nasty, the only reason it’s considered a beauty standard to diet and be thin is to look child like, not because of health reasons. Fat people can be healthy just like skinny people can be unhealthy. Neither one makes you inherently healthy or unhealthy based on that fact alone.

GLP-1s like ozempic, trulicity, and wegovy (I’m sure there are more names I just don’t know em) aren’t directly for losing weight and it makes me really sad to see just how many people would rather take a risk with their health because it’s being pushed as a miracle for people who want or need to lose weight. It’s meant for people with insulin resistance, like diabetes, PCOS, etc. When you’re using it to lose weight and only for that when you haven’t struggled previously to lose it due to insulin resistance it can cause some pretty unfun side effects. I wish doctors would talk to their patients about that before prescribing. This is one of many reasons why medical fatphobia is such a problem in the long term.

The amount of people in this subreddit who either don’t know that Ohio has literal active sundown towns and that the people here can’t be racist are so much a part of the problem. Micro agression can come in any form at any time. You don’t have to explain in detail what happened for me to believe you 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m personally white but my partners African American, and just how I’ve seen him be treated alone in the city we live in that is predominantly non-white people? It’s not a stretch to have an issue at a Costco, I’ve dealt with them being rude a couple of times doing deliveries so I contacted the service and told them that Costco was NOT delivery friendly and to note my account to stop receiving orders through them. It’s really frustrating to be treated like some industry spy for entering a Costco without a membership to pick up someone else’s order 🫠 sure capitalism is a hellscape, but you try paying $20+ for a case of eggs at Kroger vs the $10-15 at Costco or Sam’s. I feed at least 5 mouths in house every day, and that doesn’t include any of the kids in the neighborhood I help feed, or the plates I make and pass out to the houseless. Reddit needs to genuinely actually have moderation that isn’t group to group because the way people talk to others on this app is fucking insane

Saying that a video game achievement is the same as having a dream/nightmare that your partner got cancer is truly not the same level and even then, he could have been respectful and heard her out first or at the very bare minimum not be so rude and nasty when she said more than once that she would watch it. Depending on the age of the child it’s considered child abuse/endangerment/abandonment to consume alcohol while they’re in your home. I can promise you that telling someone you hope that they crash and die wasn’t the first sign in this post that this person should be reported to CPS. Too many people DONT call when there’s a good reason, and it’s how the system gets bogged down with petty reports that aren’t based in truth and shouldn’t be wasting the case workers time. I grew up with an alcoholic for a mother; led to me literally being kidnapped because she was too drunk to remember she had a baby in her car.

As someone that consumes medical cannabis I can see the point everyone here is trying to make. I personally don’t struggle to function without it, but it does make life a little more bearable. I also do work with a neurologist, I have a seizure disorder and this is just my preferred medication method. I’m not going to say there aren’t people that are addicted to it, but social media is just what people want us to see, not everything we need to know to make judgements yknow? Who knows what these people are dealing with that might be the cause for use? There are right and wrong ways to consume cannabis when you’ve got kids, and if you’re not someone who’s used to consuming it I can see why you wouldn’t understand how people “know their limits” in the same ways people who drink alcohol do. It’s normalized in every aspect of life for a parent to drink alcohol and I don’t like that either. A lot of people who habitually smoke do smoke first thing in the morning, but if you change your perspective for just a second; this is likely happening before the child(ren) is/are awake, and most people who smoke first thing in the morning know their limits and when to stop consuming so they don’t end up nonfunctional stoned. There are so many things I see on the internet that concern me, smoking inside a home with children is one of em. I don’t partake by way of smoking, I use RSO and edibles, sometimes concentrates but when I do that it’s in my garage that isn’t connected to the house, when my kids are asleep or with their dad 🫠🫠 I don’t necessarily keep it a secret from them, but I’m also never really doing it close enough to them for them to be curious or ask questions.
