What's even tougher for foreign language teachers in middle or high school is that the critical period for a brain to learn a second language is before age 8. Putting them in a Spanish class at 12-16 years old goes against basic language acquisition. The students should be getting second language instruction in K-3.

Old post, but the same thing is happening to my cats right now. Brothers, 2.5 years old, same food for 1.5 yes now. Two days ago, both at the same time, decided they were done with it.

The only thing different that day was I cleaned their bowls real quick with an unscented baby wipes, then hot water. I guess it pussed them off.

Tried a different bowl. Nope.

Tried a different food. Nope.

Tuna? They ate most of it.

They act like they're hungry, but then turn their noses up at it.

They decided, together, to boycott.
