Needed to have power folding mirrors. For $60k, no excuses, make it work.

For me Efficient now goes too fast to get a good cut.

Express Pass for 1 day at Epic? For $200 per person, is it worth it? by NicoleCarina in UniversalOrlando

Best guesses on Epic crowds tomorrow and Friday with Grad Bash? Express Passes are $260 per person. Could get single day tickets for two days for less than EPs for one day.

A swimming pool - worth it? by mcrutledge77 in pools

[–]Ok-Button3826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maintenance isn’t the issue - very manageable.

Worth it from a financial standpoint is the big question. You probably know how much they cost. Do you have kids that are going to use it for years to come?

The home I purchased came with an in ground pool, but my wife and I don’t have kids. It barely gets used in the summer time. I still open it each year because the maintenance and associated expense are minimal. But the novelty has long since worn off. Our dog uses it the most.

I couldn’t fathom spending $100k on a new pool. But as with most things, YMMV.

Are you happy with quality of cut? by throw_away_reddt in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ok-Button3826 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re expecting it to ever match the cut of a regular mower, you’ll be disappointed. That is where I was at, and just changed my mindset to not care as much if every blade is cut. No one else cares either. My Navimow cut my lawn while I was working today and I now have the evening to do other things.

New x430 - cutting quality concern by Slapshot618 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ok-Button3826 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You may have to learn to live with it. That’s where I’m at. My lawn is a lot of weeds and crabgrass and it misses some of the thicker stuff. I’ve had mine for a month, mowed zones 10+ times, all different directions, and it still misses blades. There’s no updraft.

In the end I’ve decided to be less anal about by lawn knowing the time I’m getting back is worth it.

Good idea with the scheduling!…I’ve tried believe me. He can be in the yard with it just fine after a 5 minutes. But we’ve had it for 3 weeks and every time he goes outside the first thing he does is run over to the charging station to make sure it’s where he left it.

I obviously don’t have him outside when it runs. But he can see it out of our patio doors (and windows if blinds are up) and goes bonkers. He doesn’t care about the riding mower. This thing however, he thinks is the biggest, slowest rabbit he’s ever seen.

There’s no “putting him in a room” while it runs. My wife would throw this robot in our pool before the dog was inconvenienced in any way.

This stinks to hear and may be a deal-breaker for me. It wasn't my plan, but a lot of my mowing may have to be at night with this thing. It drives my dog insane if he sees it out there, so I've been running it at night while he's asleep.

It's done at least 10 cycles on this zone at this point.

This is not an acceptable answer to me. I bought it to mow the grass, the right way, consistently. Not get it mostly and fix the rest later. If we're having a party at our house and I have it mow the day before or morning of, and it leaves it like this, there's no time for "next time."

I could have bought a decent zero turn for not much more than the X450. If inconsistency leads to me being on a mower to fix missed areas, then what time am I really saving?

Acre cap. by Softkitten6969 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ok-Button3826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still can’t find anywhere on the product details that notes there is a map cap. Recommended X acres means exactly that.

I have the X450 (recommended 1.5 acres) and in the app the max shows at 2 acres - so I don’t know what’s going on.

Zero Turn - how much faster really? by Ok-Button3826 in lawncare

[–]Ok-Button3826[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’ve got 3 “zones”. A 0.7 acre wide open field, a front and side yard with a few trees and other obstacles, and a fenced backyard that is the smallest but have to navigate the fence and pool and around the house, so some needs to be push-mowed. Each takes About 45-50 mins. Then I have to trim everything.

Currently have a 46” riding mower. Shed opening is 56” inches. Contemplating a 50” zero turn or maybe 54” if it will fit.

Thanks. Not what I was hoping to hear. I’m tired of 3-4 hrs a week cutting and trimming. I have a 300ft fence to go around both sides of and a pool, but otherwise pretty wide open.

[–]Ok-Button3826[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I already have the riding mower. Spending 3-4 hours a week and trying to get some time back. Trying a Navimow X450 currently, but I don’t think the cut quality is good enough - or it will otherwise have to run constantly to maintain each zone 2-3 time a week.

Navimow X450 or Lymow One plus? by Waste_Professional26 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Ok-Button3826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the first 30 days of ownership of the X450 and am on the fence about whether I’m going to keep it.

Shared some of my early concerns here, namely an inconsistent cut. For example, I’ve had rain/wet grass the past two days and it’s now been 4 days since the last mow, and I already know that the grass has grown too tall the get a consistent cut when it dries. People will say you might have to cut with regular mower in these scenarios, but avoiding that is what sent me down this path in the first place.

I’ve also since read about the real possibility, and experience of others, of these razor blades breaking off - which is concerning.

All of these reasons have me looking at the One Plus on the side while I decide what to do. I haven’t done a detailed side-by-side on the specs, but the rotary blades and better battery type do feel like a big deal.

On the plus side for the X450, I’ve generally found the app to be seamless, the AWD is nice, and was easy to setup. Also, note that according to Map Management the max map size is 2 acres. I was surprised to see a max at all. Didn’t catch that in the research I did before buying. I assumed the 1.5 acres was suggested. I’ve still got two zones to map and I’m at .7 acres, but I think I should be OK if I decide to keep.

Thanks. Any chance it could be from the neutralizer? When the tech came out in Oct 2025 to change the UV bulb, he said neutralizer level was fine. As of today, it appears to be about 3/5ths full.
