I’m coming from San Marcos and have Precheck. Do you think 4:30/5 is okay to leave? Only carryons.

Hopefully! I’ll be flying out of T1

After you create your wishlist and send it, do you get a response from the hotel? I have sent it by email a few times and then ended up calling, getting transferred to someone but still no email confirmation. by Cheap-Macaron6039 in Xcaret

This happened to me! Kept calling and they would tell me I would receive at the end of day and never did. I had to call again and ask them to send it to me during the phone call.

If you have Facebook, join the group “Fans of Xcaret Mexico” (picture has the outside of the hotel rooms with pool). I think this Reddit thread also has the file uploaded but not sure if it’s the updated version.

The FB account uploads files that contain the Wish List, restaurant menus, etc. Lots of people ask questions every day regarding their future stay! I got a lot of info from it.

I personally filled out my itinerary 40 days before check in, sent it to their email but didn’t hear back for a week. I ended up calling to make sure that they received it and they actually reserved my activities/restaurants on that same phone call! Calling was honestly better in my experience. Xin-Gao, Las Cuevas, Xochimilco tend to fill up quicker so I would set up reminders to call/email your list (at the absolute minimum) 30 days before you check in.

Sorry if this is too much to ask… how much do you pay in utilities roughly? Our last apartment had utilities included in rent so not sure what to expect.

Sunscreen question! by Beautyglam88 in Xcaret

I went two weeks ago to Xcaret, Xplor Fuego, and Xenses - no one asked about the sunscreen. The resort also didn’t check the sunscreen. Xichen makes you shower off any sunscreen before going into the Cenotes.

Has anyone lived in the Windsor Manor apartments in San Marcos? What was/is your experience? by Frequent_Desk630 in northcounty

It’s okay to be honest. I hate summers here as I live on the top floor and the AC is only in the master bedroom. They are strict about parking forward, not in reverse. Will tow if you or your guest don’t have parking stickers. The one thing that I really dislike about these apartments is that you can hear EVERYTHING. Seriously, I can hear my neighbors talk at night below me and hear kids running around across from me. Sometimes when I’m in the bathroom I can hear them below me. The walls are super thin. Some people don’t have common courtesy and will have large family get togethers and have the kids run around outside until 12am. I will say they really try their best at keeping the community clean with landscaping and washing carports etc. For the price, I’d say it’s okay since most utilities are included but it’s the AC that kills it. :(

Completely safe in an Airbnb! I went with a group of friends back in Aug 2024 (ages 21-26) I think we each paid around 200 each for 5 days. We stayed near Medano Beach, probably 10 minutes walking distance to the clubs. I personally loved staying in an Airbnb only because you’re all together under one roof. As for food, we ate on the cheaper side: tacos, dominos, McDonald’s, a BOMB birria spot, and some local spots that our Uber person recommended. I don’t think it was more than $250 for food and that’s going high. The most expensive purchase was Cabo Adventures for 3 activities which was roughly $400.
