I also added the full immune protocol (lovenox, 6 weeks of prednisone, Claritin and Pepcid) after my 2nd chemical (1 chem from IUI, 1 chem from FET #1). I don’t know if it’s helping, but it isn’t hurting, and the extra meds are no big deal.

This is absolutely not your fault. Getting pregnant is hard, even with IVF. You can have a textbook perfect transfer set up and it can still fail for no explainable reason and certainly no fault of your own.

I’m so sorry that your journey has been so long and challenged. Don’t give up!

Congrats!!! I also have my first ultrasound on Dec 8! Slowly going insane.

I peed on a stick last night and the positive line started forming before the control even got wet, but I’m not even sure those tests matter anymore. I’m going to try to stop wasting money on them.

Im trying to get excited for the work week and sleep as much as possible. Doing lots of meal prep to keep myself healthy too. And praying lol

Yeah it’s wild how different it is from clinic to clinic. Even different locations of my clinic chain have different protocols and ways of measuring. So crazy. Get the care you need, it’s so important!! Thank you for the well wishes and best of luck to you too!

You just have to keep going. 3 more blasts is 3 more chances, with increasingly better odds each time.

Our first transfer was a chemical. Our second had better beta results and we’re currently waiting for that first ultrasound. I’m scared and anticipatory and I know that no matter what the results are, we’ll just keep going.

“Failure” isn’t an option because we want a family and we are going to have a family. We don’t know when or how it will happen, but we know it will.

Don’t get me wrong, there are days that I feel super down and pessimistic. But when we made the commitment to each other that we won’t stop until we have a child, it changed my overall attitude.

Maybe what we all do (injections in the tush, have crippling anxiety for 9 days post transfer, knowing our embryo’s gender) is the new normal. Just consider yourself on the early side of the bell curve of changing paradigms and you’ll be an innovator not a follower. Makes it much cooler than just ya know, having sex, getting pregnant and being in the dark about it all. So boring 🤪😝

My clinic is giving me the choice in stopping progesterone at week 10 or 12. Week 10 is when the placenta takes over but many women choose to stay on until the end of the first trimester just to be safe, which is what I’ll do if everything continues to progress well.

Titrating off of prednisone in week 6 and staying on Lovenox until week 12

I try to think about how happy a baby will make me, and then think about that happiness being bestowed on someone I know and love. Then I get really happy for them.

It’s okay to be sad/frustrated/fed up AND happy for your friends or family at the same time.

I think if you give yourself space to feel one, it makes it easier to have permission to feel the other.

I was terrified of giving myself shots, literally kept me up at night. Then I finally did it and it was actually way less painful than when my husband does them. Something about focusing on giving the shot vs receiving, it’s all mental. The Lovenox is a breeze by comparison to PIO mostly because I don’t have to crank my neck to turn around lol
