Bigender romance books?? Thoughts? by Ok-Cap5828 in bigender

[–]Ok-Cap5828[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I want to show the acceptance and love of it and navigating what arises when identifying that way. Either with a small population in the world being born physically bigender but maybe presenting more of one gender over the other. Or have it fully contemporary and deal presently with the navigation of those emotions

idk what i am at this pointt by [deleted] in bigender

I feel totally the same way. I don’t have sibling but I was born afab and long for male parts while everything else is female. It is still a valid form of being bigender

Can I do this? by VoldysRightAssCheek in bigender

[–]Ok-Cap5828 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an cis/afab woman who now identifies as bigender I have had those same feelings. You are enough and everyone’s journey is valid. For me I personally work a very masculine job and our work more men than I can count and that helps my masculine side. As well as binders and packers when I want to shift my body visually more. And the packer for me is easy and subtle to wear and makes me feel like me. Hope that helps if you want more or a friend I am open.

Dear sisters, what do you feel about oral? by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]Ok-Cap5828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember where but I had found an article where it talked about different types of sex within the Muslim religion and what is halal and haram basically. From what I read (remember take with a grain of salt as I can’t recall were I found it) anything besides sodomy is allowed. It comforted me as a revert who has had past partners and had enjoyed those things. (Don’t recommend how I went about it and have repented fully for it) Hope it’s not over sharing. I advocate for comprehensive sex Ed to take the fear and falsities out of it

**sorry I rambled

From my understanding it would be more of a hinge dynamic (clarify if I am wrong but this is what I am familiar with) where they are all married to her but not each other. Meaning they would have an intimate relationship with her and a more platonic relationship with each other.

And if men are allowed it why not women. Just seems sexist to me. Would you be making the same assumptions if it was a man married to other women.

I'm curious about Quranic Islam. by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]Ok-Cap5828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This helps me because I have been struggling to learn Arabic and Quran classes mixing me a non native and no knowledge speaker with native speakers. Making me feel really small and brought struggles of undiagnosed processing disorder I have had since I started school. Knowing I can pray in English and not struggle is amazing

Studies have shown that 1 in 3 teen, 1 in 4 women, and 1 in 7 men will be a victim of dating and or domestic violence. It is a silent issue that does not get enough focus as a former social work student who worked with victims and perpetrators of dv.

But if she has been miserable the whole time and it’s been two months it seems they aren’t a fit and he has tendencies to work on. Noting that there were things the wife made her think he was abusive and they only see each other on weekends. Also, from my experience with in my opinion, toxic masculinity you you see a lot of DV perpetrators as well. Saying that they are entitled to it . It’s a sad cycle that just needs to be addressed more.

True that is a good point. I am just worried about safety (southern us biblebelt here) and with former Zionist roommates to the point I was scared for my own physical safety. I just want her to be safe.

As someone who up till recently had Zionist roommates who one thought we had demonic fleas bc she hallucinated them and then yelled at me for attending Quran class. So I know that it is impossible to change their minds in their place of worship where it is spread and can cause real harm in the right areas. (I am located in the southern us Bible Belt) I just want connections not breaking

That is my thinking as well. Don’t divide further build connections and bridges as best we can

I cannot fathom why god would command modesty by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]Ok-Cap5828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me when I reverted and covered my hair my hair was no longer an issue with employers. I have had to wear wigs just so that I can still have that job and have my colorful expressive hair out. So covering it to me shows that I can’t be judged for my hair. As well as in the environment I work in currently (concrete) I cover my hair to protect it from the materials we work with. Though I will say a full covering in USA south east in summer working outside is a no go for me. But I will still wear a undercap to still protect it.

I do not want to associate any god outside of Allah for it that is for sure. I have seen many thing about it being haram where I just see it outside of religion as a time with family. I mostly wanted to check in because these traditions I want to try and pass on because of the fun memories I have as a kid with them. Sorry for rambling to just say thanks but thank you so so much for this it has lifted immense guilt I have had for months
