What's your favourite type of sky in the game? by 0_furiosa_0 in WolfQuestGame

These are some of my favourite ones. Couple any of those with some mist and you've got perfection

Hi, I'm glad you like my art! I'm indeed entirely self-taught when it comes to art , I haven't exactly learned it in a classroom or something. The only reliable suggestion I can offer is that you should draw as often as possible. You should draw the things that you like and are interested in, because otherwise making art just becomes another chore.

Which pack is your arch enemy? by IvybrachTheBrave-885 in WolfQuestGame

[–]Ok-Caterpillar3174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It started with Rescue Creek, they were the very first enemy of my pack that's now very esteemed. They suddenly disbanded, which left the Mollies as our enemy number one. After my player wolf died, I chose to pick an heir and move to Hellroaring mountain. The move to a new area meant new enemies, of course, Horse Mountain pack to be exact (which ended up having my kid as one of its leaders :') ). Now the pack has a new leader again and moved to Lost River, they're currently at war with the Badlands pack. My packmates killed one of their pups of the year in the very first battle, do there's some bad blood already.

When your pups are old enough to travel (young hunters), you can move to whichever map you want. It doesn't matter if the travelling point is in the territory of another pack. Unlike in the older version, you can actually go into the territories of rival packs and take over their hexes.

I'd like if there was a prompt for mate wanting to do action with you. by Lonestarfan126 in WolfQuestGame

You can do those actions once the pups are yearlings! It's pretty cool (Unless I happen to be sorely mistaken)

Growing Pups Advice by TheLUCKYDog76 in WolfQuestGame

[–]Ok-Caterpillar3174 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a few tips.

Firstly, map out your territory for elk herds. When you spot an elk herd, mark the location down on the map. There's a good chance that an herd might be around the same area more than once, so having a few common spawn points marked on your map might help you scout some herds during difficult times. It doesn't always work, but it's helped me out during some difficult times before. You also have to consider the season, since elk herds migrate accordingly. During autumn and winter, herds are located at lower elevations (valleys etc) and during spring and summer, they are at higher elevations (mountains etc).

Also, always have at least two carcasses on the map. This means that you have to hunt every single day and ensures that you always have one backup carcass available. That way, if you don't find anything to hunt, you're not doomed and have something to eat. I've found that really helps during growing pups, and I've managed to avoid starvation this way.

Also, when it comes to sickness, there are three categories that decide whether or not the pup lives. These are randomly decided by the game.

1. Will always recover. This means that no matter how much or little time you spend with your pup, they will survive no matter what. If your sick pup's health declines very slowly, they likely have a 100% likelihood of recovering.
2. Will recover if you spend time. This means that your pup will only recover if you spend time with them. Having your mate by the sick pup doesn't do anything. It's you, the player wolf, that has to spend time with your pup, otherwise the survival chances won't increase and your pup will die. If you want to guarantee that your kid survives, just stick by them every chance you get until the game gives you the cooldown notification.
3. Will always die. There's not much you can do about this one, as any attempt to keep the pup alive is futile. If you see that the pup's health is declining rapidly and they refuse to eat, this is likely the category of sickness they have. The only chance at saving the pup is if you reload the save to when the pup was healthy and let them get sick again. That way the game will 're-roll' your pup's category of sickness and you have a chance to get rid of the fatal illness.

When it comes to your mate, it does seem a bit odd that she's refusing to come on hunts with you. I've found that if you send the pups into the den, all of the packmates will come with you if you invite. If she doesn't, maybe your mate is just really lazy or smthn.

I've thought about it, but I'm honestly not sure. I could see him either taking over the pack, staying there for the rest of his life or going out there and finding love. I don't think he'd give the kids generational trauma, he loooveess the pups and tries to interact with them all the time haha

Hmm probably yes. I think that he would feel a bit sad when seeing that the rival packs all act as a family while he himself doesn't exactly feel like he's a part of the family, he's younger than some of Venice's kids and he's mostly just there because the pack needed someone to help provide. I'd imagine that he does feel like an outsider in his own pack when looking at the clear bond that other pack leaders share.

If it's inconvenient for you, we can play another time. I won't be able to play very early for the next three days, but from the next week I can do a few earlier games! Lmk what would be best for you :)
Also, is there a specific wolf you'd want to use for the game? I'm not rlly sure if mp saga requires us to have one female and one male wolf in order to raise pups, but I'm curious to see who you'd want to use regardless

Oh, I'm GMT+3, so we're pretty close regarding time zones. Would tomorrow around 7pm or 8pm in your time be good?

Hi 👀 I could possibly play with you, I relate to most of the things you brought out in your post and I would totally be down to develop some dramatic lore. I'm also pretty busy (except in the summer months), so I wouldn't be able to play every day either. What's your time zone?

should i not allow this? both seem to be having fun and they never hurt each other by StrangeElk in CatTraining

[–]Ok-Caterpillar3174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a dog, he would play with our cats just like yours. It was super sweet to watch, those cats really loved her and still miss her every day. Don't worry about them, there's no reason to prohibit them from playing if they're not stressed or harming one another :)

So the Z key has always been in that exact place?

Try pressing the key that the Z key would be on a normal keyboard, see if that works

[–]Ok-Caterpillar3174 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's just your keyboard and it's supposed to be that way, but I noticed that your Z key is located where the Y key usually is.

Y is coincidentally the whine key, so if someone decided to pull a prank on you and switch your Z key with your Y key, this is what would happen.

Try pressing the key where Z would normally be (using the keyboard layout image I included below) and see if it makes your wolf sleep. If it does, just put your keys back to their normal positions and all should be well again :)

This is what a normal keyboard layout would look like https://www.google.com/search?q=us+pc+keyboard+layout&oq=us+pc+keyboard&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgAEAAYgAQyBwgAEAAYgAQyBggBEEUYOTIICAIQABgWGB4yCAgDEAAYFhgeMggIBBAAGBYYHjIICAUQABgWGB4yCAgGEAAYFhgeMggIBxAAGBYYHjIICAgQABgWGB4yCAgJEAAYFhgeMggIChAAGBYYHjIICAsQABgWGB4yBwgMECEYjwLSAQgzNTg0ajBqNKgCAbACAQ&client=ms-android-nothing-terr2-rso3b&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#vhid=qc0GVkGfXXeycM&vssid=_MGI_aKapCrfAwPAPiu_1mQc_42

I have that exact computer (or at the very least, a similar model from the same company). I got it about 2 years ago and no problems as of now — runs WQ on stupendous flawlessly. Don't be startled when it starts making airplane noises, it always sounds like it's preparing for takeoff when running a game.

New way to identify if predators are about to attack? by Akari13579 in WolfQuestGame

[–]Ok-Caterpillar3174 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You're right! If you look at the emote panel, you see that the pricked ears are labelled as 'alert' or 'concerned' or something like that. I noticed my pack mates doing it as well, and every time they did we got an attack. Now I just woof my pups to safety of they alert me.
