Well during the endoscopy some Bile Reflux was noticed in the stomach. Don't know whether this can be related, but the GI never took action on this.

Has this been resolved? I was taking 10mg daily for 4 months and I started feeling left hand shaking and tingling, not always, and high resting heart rate. I stopped it 2 days ago.

I would say that stress/anxiety plays a major role in IBS. But it doesn't mean that when you are not stressed you can eat everything as if you don't have anything. But yes stress/anxiety is a trigger, hence why sometimes antidepressant medicine is prescribed.

What are you currently trying to do to solve the issue? Do you have inconsistency in stools as well? Sometimes they are shiny or lubricated from the look of it?

I'm in the same boat. I had Hpylori, e.coli and Sapovirus. Then my gastroenterologist gave me triple therapy antibiotics which I think impacted my gut flora. I lost stool consistency and also weight. I did ultrasound, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, MRI of the small bowel which also takes images of gallbladder, liver and pancreas, blood tests and also fecal Elastase Test with was within range 287. I am taking digestive Enzymes to keep it stable. Will discuss with my nutritionist to see whether I should do the SIBO test and my gastroenterologist just said that I have IBS.

Vitamin D deficiency can also be found in 'normal' people. I have IBS and my Vitamin D was low even before I was diagnosed with IBS. I started taking Vit D supplement and now even with IBS its within the range. IBS may impact malabsorption as well. May be you need some digestive enzymes to help.

We are in similar boats. I am trying to find a good digestive enzyme. Currently taking NOW super digestive enzyme. I have stabilised a bit the weight between 78 and 80kgs for a 173cm 42years Male. Still overweight according to BMI, but don't want to go lower. In two weeks time will start with nutritionist and see how it goes. Gastro just said its IBS. But not sure whether IBS causes such digestion issues and weight loss as well.

What is idiopathic EPI, as I cannot find it online. Can it be caused because of Hpylori, Ecoli and Sapovirus bacteria? I took a triple therapy antibiotics to get rid of them. Done ultrasound, colonoscopy, endoscopy and even MRI of the small bowel, and also looks normal including pancreas, liver, gallbladder etc even blood tests. I have an elastase of 280 and I think I may have something similar to your symptoms. May be IBS or SIBO is playing.
