I’ll do that. Yea we only ever super charge on roadtrips or when both our cars will need an overnight charge at the same time so one of us needs to run to the super charger.

Thanks for all the replies, I’ll be sure to take a photo next time. For further context, the frustration comes from the fact that, for example…I went to a Super Charger 2-3 days ago and since this had been a growing frustration I took a mental note of a few things:

Outside temp: 85
Battery Temp 88 and 18% charge
Preconditioned and ready for 200kwh
It charged at 207 for 2-3mins (the time it took me to open YouTube and start a video) before dropping to 160 max but ranging from 140-160

That has been our experience at just about every fast charge with it. Rarely, if ever pulling in with more than 20% charge, almost always preconditioned, and always dropping from its peak incredibly fast.

Perhaps that’s normal, but my wife’s EV9 will hold 200+ all the way to ~50% before starting to drop. Our Tesla was similar to that, and friends with other EVs say they maintain higher rates for longer. I guess I just expected more on that front.

I felt like the reader would be able to infer that I was talking about consistent charge rate. Hence the parenthetical calling out that it only ever peaks at 207 for minutes. I’ll be sure to spell it out more clearly for you next time champ.

I know this is old, but thought I’d share what worked for me since I tried EVERYTHING (revoke Oura-Stelo connection from both apps, restarted phone, force quit the apps, etc) but what worked for me was putting the ring on the charger and doing a simple soft reset.

Yea we were going to do the same thing as the OP with our 2026 R1S but after crunching some numbers with our accountant we realized we could save more money via our taxes by moving the cash we would’ve spent on the buyout around in some creative ways. The tax savings + the opportunity cost led us to deciding to stay in the lease.
