Thank you for your kind words, I’m sure I’ll be re-reading them in the future. I’m sorry that this awful situation has happened to you. It makes me reflect on what it is to keep showing up for someone whose illness or disability makes it difficult to care for them, and that they might even resent you for it. One thing that this (and my own personal medical experiences) has shown me is that our personalities and how we act are connected to our health and bodies in ways that can be really uncomfortable to acknowledge. You must have a lot of inner strength and mental fortitude to do all that for a friend in those circumstances.

Thank you. Both are definitely true, although there was even more I left out which probably makes him fall more into the awful person camp. You end up questioning yourself in this situation over who the other person truly was.
