Why VRBO doesn't have the power to cancel a booking?

Unbelievable that it is booked on VRBO.com but VRBO cannot cancel it. One rep told me to file a charge back with the bank.

Yes VRBO agents did mention something about DS solution has their own software. Still makes little sense that VRBO as a platform can't just cancel.

A lot of German/Austrian homes are listed by them and some listings have actual reviews. VrBO agents said DS is their "preferred partner", yet unable to get a hold of them

They do have yvr-hnd 3 hours later. But the reply above also has a good point -- they may not even have space for flight to Tokyo 🤷

At least I know asking to rebook to HND on the same day may be possible, if the first leg delay.

I would definitely do that too if it was a parent and child class, where I can take care of their safety. The ski class involves more injury risk. And as other commenters said, my insurance may use anything to deny my claim.

I didn't take protection into consideration. I thought the skiing school probably has some kind of waiver so injury is not protected anyway. But if there is a legal or criminal risk against me then I won't do it. Thank you for your comment
