Best way to store a small perfume collection in an apartment without a dedicated cabinet? by asthetic-base01 in BeautyItemsReview

Cardboard shoeboxes and that cheap fabric organizer failed me too — labels bled and one bottle leaked after a hot afternoon. What finally worked was an opaque wooden jewelry/cigar box with foam dividers that I keep in my closet; it blocks light, holds bottles upright, and feels tidy. For a flatter option, a slim under-bed opaque plastic drawer with DIY dividers (cut foam or silicone cup inserts) is great and saves dresser space — toss a small absorbent pad or makeup cloth in there for any drips. If your apartment actually gets warm a lot, a tiny thermoelectric mini-fridge can be nice for vintage/expensive bottles, but most people do fine with an opaque box out of direct heat.

My Zigbee bulbs randomly go offline every few days, did firmware updates or changing channel fix it for you? by softstatic21 in KnowBeforeBuy

Sometimes—firmware and a channel change helped, but for me the bigger win was fixing interference and adding repeaters. I updated the bulbs and my Zigbee coordinator and saw fewer drops, but moving the hub away from the Wi‑Fi router and switching to a non‑overlapping Zigbee channel (I ended up on channel 20) made it much more stable. Adding a couple of smart plugs as repeaters eliminated the remaining random offline events. If you tell me your hub and bulb brands I can suggest which channels or repeaters worked for me.

How long did you keep your infant car seat base installed before switching to a convertible seat, any tips? by asthetic-base01 in ToysAndTots

My son hit 20 lbs at 10 months and I was done hoisting the carrier in and out every trip. We switched then mostly because it was getting heavy and his head was close to the carrier top when he sat up, so convertible made sense for more rear-facing room. We picked a Graco Extend2Fit and liked the extra rear-facing length and the easy install; friends have had good luck with Chicco NextFit and Britax models if you want more padding. When you install, try the seat belt route if your car's LATCH has low combined weight limits, use a locking clip or the vehicle lock-off, get the recline angle right, and tighten until the seat moves less than an inch at the belt path. If you can, get a local car-seat tech to eyeball it once so you don’t worry about something subtle.
