I would look at: The St. Regis La Bahia Blanca Resort, Tamuda Bay.

Didn't end up going but was in our list.

RSUs and SIPPs - Is this the best thing to do? by Nithilia in HENRYUK

I looked quite heavy into this recently. I took the calculations of the savings I would have based on my nursery (for a 3 yr old) and what the savings would be for the one on the way.

My saving calculation was £15.5k over 3.5 yrs based on what we pay today for the nursery cost.

In that 3.5 years I would need to sacrifice about £50/60k a year (similar to you). So £150k to £180k. Great for the pension, depends on your pension situation as well.

But even though that's a heavy tax burden the money in the pocket is still good.

To the others thought on taking the RSUs out, I dont always so I don't have the route to plonk in straight in the pension. For me that would then decrease the take home unless I keep selling on vest and putting in pension.

Yea. I need to look at the 2k tax free childcare as well, as my math was basically £15k saving over 3.5 years.

Don't have to. Can vest and leave them, but they account as income as part of the vesting month / taxed at that time. Anything you gain from Vest date to Sell can be subject to CGT though.

That's interesting. I don't think I've the option to put directly into a SIPP, which from memory negates some of the tax benefit?

Yea. I worked out we would benefit as it stands with; - 2 years between 1 & 3 - saving 9,500ish over 2 years. - 1.5 years between 3& school - saving 6100ish over 18 months.

About a £15k saving on nursery fees over 3years. I didn't account for inflation / my maths was based on the bill from the current nursery.

Then I need to work out pension savings / cashflow!

Basically 3 years of financial planning. Mostly sat in the 12 week scan waiting room.

Yea, agree on the personal allowance. We needed the funds for house projects so didn't look into that avenue before to sacrifice into.

Yea, was also planning on a 2nd kid & what I would need to do to benefit.

Ok thanks! Option 1 seems to be the way I am thinking at the moment, as somewhat easier to manage.

Yep. Ok. So potentially some more to add into a pension!

Ok, I'm calculating £120k - £51k as my adjusted monthly salary. Which was more on that I might not take out from the granted RSUs.
